Searching for Xuanzang's footprints
2005December 28, 2019
Li Yong
2005At noon on October 30, 2019,
The sun shines directly on the Gobi Desert near Hongliu Garden in Anxi County, Gansu Province.
Wang Shi, chairman of Vanke Group, was like an ascetic, with a wrinkled face and a heavy backpack on his back, moving quickly.Walking side by side with him was CCTV host Wang Xiaoya.
1376In the early winter of the New Year, a monk Xuanzang, who was less than 30 years old, also walked here. He had no fellow travelers. His apprentice Shi Pantuo, who was taken in Guazhou City, was afraid that he had just left him, and only a thin red old horse accompanied him.
When Wang Shi and Wang Xiaoya first arrived at their destination at the foot of a bald mountain, there were long waiting reporters and some "star-chasing people" in Anxi County surrounded them.
Xuanzang was not treated like this as a star-chasing person, because he was smuggling. For this reason, the Tang Dynasty court had already arrested him in Wenzhou and counties, and he had to carefully avoid the soldiers guarding the border.
The "Experience Journey" of a sub-project "Retracing Xuanzang Road" held by CCTV has ended by this time.More than 20 economists, entrepreneurs, cultural scholars and media people walked 120 kilometers in the northwest desert within four days. When the spring of next year begins, some of them will drive from Xi'an and follow the road where Xuanzang traveled west to seek Dharma and go all the way to India. That was the main meal that re-takes Xuanzang's road. The experience journey and the previous Lop Nur inspection were just appetizers before the main meal.
Those who re-walking this section of the road today no longer have the loneliness and hardships of Xuanzang's journey to the west. Not to mention that most of the journey is driving, even if it is a short four-day walk, it has strong logistical support. GPS System navigation, there is a special chef cooking at night.
But even so, walking on two legs is still a difficult experience for most people in the group.
The origin of the unparalleled monk
By chance this summer, I chatted with Qu Xiangdong, the host of CCTV's "Everyone" column. This host is not only concerned about the "big guys" who are still alive today, but also is interested in the "big guys" who have influenced this nation in history.
We both talked about Zheng He. At that time, to commemorate the 600th anniversary of his voyage to the West, the media launched a series of commemorative special issues.I think Zheng He's voyage to the West is great, but after all, it was a "face project" directly arranged by the emperor. He devoted his efforts to promote the prestige of the Ming Dynasty to the "barbarians". Therefore, despite the unprecedented grand occasion at that time, the invincible fleet led by Zheng He not only brought a giraffe that mistakenly thought of auspicious "kirin" to Emperor Yongle, but also consolidated the tribute trade system that was incompatible with the rules of modern capitalist markets. How many things are left to future generations that are worth carrying forward?Xuanzang had a much greater impact on culture and history than Zheng He.
It should be compared in particular that Zheng He was passive in his voyage to the West. As a eunuch favored by the emperor, he could mobilize all resources to complete a political task.In "Mingtongjian", the historian of the Qing Dynasty, Xia Xie, said that the eunuchs of the Ming Dynasty represented the emperor on missions to foreign countries, starting from Zheng He.In the Ming Dynasty, eunuchs held political power and Zheng He served as the supreme commander of a fleet, which could be regarded as a landmark event.Xuanzang's journey to the west was entirely out of a belief and a pursuit of truth. This was his personal choice. When he left Chang'an and traveled west, the Tang Dynasty was established shortly after it was established, and there was a ban on officials and civilians not allowing officials and civilians to cross the border to go to the Western Regions. At that time, some leading figures in the Buddhist world were afraid that Xuanzang would seek the true Dharma and threaten his position, and tried every means to obstruct him secretly. Finally, Xuanzang returned after traveling to India and countries in the Western Regions, translated many scriptures, injecting new nutrients from foreign countries into Chinese culture, and leaving behind the "The Records of the Western Regions of the Tang Dynasty" which had a profound impact on the history of Central Asia and Indian history.Xuanzang's disciples wrote the "Biography of Master Sanzang of Dacien Temple", and commented in the preface: "(Xuanzang) In the 17th year of spring, autumn, cold and heat, he heard hundreds of thirty countries, praised the prosperity of our emperor, shocked the power of his descendants, silenced the high chariots of other scholars, and pulled out the great banner of his fellow teachers.A famous king pays his head, and is better than a partner and has a perfect style and a person.”
This is just the evaluation of Xuanzang's contemporaries. The real master will be evaluated by history after thousands of years.Today, it seems that Xuanzang's influence has transcended the times and surpassed national boundaries. One of the important reasons why Stein, who deceived countless treasures in the Dunhuang Sutra Cave, was that he told the Taoist priest that he was a believer of Xuanzang, who was his refugee in the desert.
National Geographic magazine has created a series of centenary documentaries, one of which is the Silk Road, which compares Xuanzang and Stein. The voiceover of the film explains that both of them are adventures in the desert of the Silk Road, but because of Stan, he seeks wealth, Xuanzang seeks truth.
Qu Xiangdong is planning a large-scale cultural project for CCTV, re-taking Xuanzang's path and invites me to participate.
Because of the rare monk more than 1,300 years ago, I walked through the Gobi Desert with some people I didn’t know.
We chose the most difficult part of Xuanzang's journey back then
10On the 26th of the month, I participated in the "Retrace to Xuanzang" ―――The guests of the Experience Journey gathered in Dunhuang.Have economics
Zhang Weiying and Qi Daqing, humanities scholars Zhou Guoping and Li Zhengyu, entrepreneurs Wang Shi, Feng Lun, Li Baogang, and Zhang Mingzheng, chairman of Trend Technology Co., Ltd. from Taiwan, Master Yanzang, director of the Chinese Buddhist Association, and CCTV hosts Wang Xiaoya, Qu Xiangdong and others.
These people must use cars to transport most of the time in the city where they live. Can you really walk 120 kilometers in the northwest Gobi desert in the next four days?I had doubts at the time.
Our starting point is the Taer Temple ruins next to the ancient city of Guazhou, Anxi County, Gansu Province, and the end point is the Hongliu Garden near Xinjiang in the northwest of Anxi County, with a total distance of about 120 kilometers.
Why choose this hiking experience?Because this was the loneliest and most difficult part of Xuanzang's journey to the west, he almost gave up on the journey west halfway.
In the second year of Zhenguan, Xuanzang decided to travel west to seek the Dharma. He mixed with refugees and came to Dunhuang and went to Gaochang. However, the law of fate has not arrived, and the master’s trip to Dunhuang failed.
In the third year of Zhenguan, the monk set out from Chang'an again and finally arrived in Hexi.If you move forward, you will encounter the last problem: the court strictly prohibits officials and civilians from leaving the country. This time, Xuanzang did not use the first method. The risk of getting involved in refugees is too high and the success rate is very low.He did the opposite, almost promoting himself in a high-profile manner, and preached the Dharma for more than a month in Liangzhou, the No. 1 metropolis in Hexi.
This is a successful PR event. Most of the people who listened to the monk's lectures were Hu merchants from various countries in the Western Regions traveling to and from the Hexi Corridor. At that time, merchants were the most effective disseminators. The monk gave half of the gold, silver and livestock donated by the merchants to the local temples, and half of them were received as lamps (probably used as funding for the westward journey). After returning to China, these merchants often praised the master's talent and virtue to their monarchs, and their reputation spread to the caravans in Hexi and among the Western Regions.
The greater the reputation, the greater the insurance factor.Whether it was Li Chang, a provincial official in Guazhou who destroyed the wanted wizard's documents, or Wang Xiang and Wang Bolong's extrajudicial grace to him outside Yumen Pass, it was all related to his reputation in Hexi.If he had come out of seclusion as an ordinary monk or even dressed up as a refugee, once he was caught, the officials would probably not be so polite to him.
The monk waited for a month in Guazhou and was able to travel west after receiving the help of Hu monk. From here to the riverside in front of Yumen Pass in the Tang Dynasty, Shi Pantuo, a Hu man who accompanied him, was unable to withstand the difficulties and dangers ahead and left him. From then on, he passed by the five beacon towers of the imperial court alone, passing by more than 800 miles long, with no birds above, no beasts below, and no water plants. This section of the road was the only one walking alone during Xuanzang's journey to the west, and it was also the most difficult road.
After walking for more than a hundred miles, I was lost and couldn't find Wild Horse Spring.I dismounted the horse and drank water, because the skin that filled the water was too heavy, and I accidentally knocked it over to the ground."The Biography of Master Sanzang of Dacien Temple" says: "A thousand miles of resources are exhausted in one day."A man with ambition suddenly lost all his capital, and the road had just begun.what to do?Hesitation and hesitation are the mentality that ordinary people should have, and Xuanzang is no exception. He wanted to go back to the fourth beacon. After walking back for more than ten miles, I remembered that I had made a vow that if I had not returned to the east, I would never return to the east.So he vowed again, "I would rather die in the west than live in the east!"In such a desperate situation, he had no drop of water to drink for four nights and five days, and walked out with his faith.
Xuanzang held on at the most difficult time. Although the road ahead was still long and difficult, the most painful time passed. After this hardship, the master achieved extraordinary enlightenment.Without this transcendence, it would be difficult for him to travel all the Indian countries in the Western Regions within 17 years and understand such profound Buddhist teachings.
Guazhou Ancient City with Cultural Relics everywhere
10On the 27th of the month, the first day of hiking on Xuanzang Road "Experience Journey" was the starting point, and the ruins of Guazhou Ancient City, Anxi County.
Before leaving from Dunhuang in the morning, I went alone to visit Leiyin Temple next to Mingsha Mountain. The sun rises very late in the west, 7 ∶30When I arrived in front of the temple, the morning light had just risen, and the road leading to the Crescent Spring was silent. The temple gate was closed, but the morning class in the temple had already ended.A couplet in front of the temple gate is: Go here and gradually climb high and move forward slowly to take care of the present. Let go of all the fates here and don’t leave them and regret it and look back on the past.
This couplet gave me a shudder because the theme of today's experience is: Let go.That is, let go of all the bonds on the metropolis.
A two-hour drive to Guazhou Ancient City ―――In the Taer Temple on the outskirts of Suoyang City, Master Xuanzang stayed for several days to find horses and guides. The temple has no place, only a tower with earth is still there, not very high, but it looks majestic in a wilderness. The tower is about a stone's throw away from the east gate of the Suoyang City Ruins. In ancient times, pagodas were mostly built across the city. Between Ta'er Temple and the ruins of Suoyang City, there should have been Guo, scattered with farmers in the urban-rural junction.
Xuanzang met his first companion on the journey westward in this temple and later became his disciple, Shi Pantuo, and also got a thin old red horse that later helped him find water plants.
From Ta'er Temple, pass through a red willow forest to Suoyang City.A fellow traveler found several small ceramic conical objects in the red willow bushes.Mr. Li Zhengyu, a researcher at the Dunhuang Research Institute, said that this is an old thing in the Tang Dynasty, called the Good Deeds Tower. There were good men and women who offered it to the temple. After the temple collapsed, these pottery towers were scattered among the grass and trees. Not far from the Shanye Tower, Mr. Li Hongwei, the director of the Anxi County Museum, accompanied by, was introducing the remaining half-stone mill underground to people. There is a stone mill that shows that there were people living here at that time, and this mill was at least a relic from before the Ming Dynasty.Because the ancient city of Guazhou was not abandoned until the Ming Dynasty, the defense line of the dynasty retreated eastward to Jiayuguan.
After walking about 500 meters, we entered through the north gate of Suoyang City. The urn is still well preserved. The open city gate faces a wilderness, and there are sparse red willows in the wilderness.
After passing through the city gate, I climbed up to the north wall and found that the abandoned Suoyang City was really large, but now I only see the ruins of houses that were severely eroded by the wind, as well as the dense clusters of red willows next to the ruins. To the south of the city is the continuous Qilian Snow Mountains.
The city wall is a government-led project. In order to defend against foreign enemies, the construction requirements are high, so it is preserved more completely than the buildings in the city.I found an interesting phenomenon. The red willows in the city are far denser than those outside the city, and they are clustered together like fire. Is it because the land that has been exposed to popularity is more fertile? The decaying grass and withered poplars were once a singing and dancing venue. At this time, how could you imagine that Guazhou City was so prosperous in the Tang Dynasty?According to records, there were about 5,000 households in Guazhou City at that time. Conservatively estimated that there were about 30,000 urban residents. In the era of medieval agricultural civilization, supporting a city of such a scale, it can be inferred how developed the agriculture in Guazhou Oasis was at that time.
In Guazhou City, Master Xuanzang was treated as the governor Duguda, and the provincial official Li Chang did not hesitate to destroy the documents that he pursued the master. One night, the mage rode his horse and took Shipantuo out of the north gate and walked northwest. The mage sneaked late at night and fled the last city in the western border of the Tang Dynasty. The main officials in Guazhou played a tacit game: the mage escaped at night while he was not careful, rather than deliberately letting go.Even if the court investigates one day, this reason can probably be excused.Teacher Zhou Guoping, who was traveling with him, said that in the Tang Dynasty, when transportation and communication were underdeveloped, there was still a lot of room for border counties to act cheaply.I think this is probably an important reason for the later outbreak of the "Anshi Rebellion" and the formation of separatist situation in the feudal states. If in the Ming Dynasty, the garrison officials in Jiayuguan dared to release a person captured by the imperial court from privately, the Jinyiwei would soon arrest all officials of all sizes and escort them to the capital and punish them severely.
Walk west from Suoyang City, about 18 kilometers to reach the camping site at night. There is a sand dune outside the city with camel thorns and red willows on it.After walking through the sand dunes, you will enter a vast Yadan landform, such as a castle, a lie-off cow, or a mountain, with various shapes. The flat ground between the weathered soil trunks cracked like a turtle shell. There is an ancient river channel that passes through this Yadan area. I think it should be a ruin after the Shule River is diverted. At that time, the Shule River passed through the northern suburbs of Suoyang City. The riverbed was wide and the water flow was large, which watered about 500,000 acres of farmland here.Master Yanzang, Wang Shi and another entrepreneur walked in the front. They discussed that when Xuanzang walked this journey, he must have seen pastoral scenery, not as desolate as he is now.
On a sand dune outside the city, Zhang Weiying picked up a Kaiyuan Tongbao. Someone joked that he is a good economist and that he can find wealth in desolate places.According to people from the local cultural management office, there are cultural relics everywhere around Guazhou Ancient City. Three days ago, another Tang tomb intact tomb was found in this place, and the gold powder on the coffin was still there.
In the Yadan terrain, the view is very unbroad. When I was about 8 kilometers away from my destination, I had no companions in my field of vision. GPS In the direction indicated, I walked forward alone.Soon I entered the Gobi area, with only gravel at my feet, only the wind whistling in my ears, no green, and no life."No birds above, no beasts below" is probably like this.
I have only been away from my fellow class for more than two hours, and I feel lonely. What am I in the wilderness without life? What are those entrepreneurs and scholars? It's just a bunch of carbohydrates. As the dusk was getting together, I was a little anxious and couldn't help but speed up.At 7 o'clock in the evening, when I saw the camping lights, I felt so warm.
The next day, the most difficult road
It was already 7 o'clock in the morning when I woke up, and the morning light had just risen outside the tent, and the chill was blowing.I tiptoed out of the camp with my camera and heard the snoring sounds coming and going around me, which was amazing.
A red sun in the east rose little by little from the horizon, and the Gobi became brilliant.Suddenly, the fireball leaped hard and the whole body came out.Only then did I understand what it means to burst out.The camping place is called the Big Tomb Zimuque.Whose tomb is reflected in this morning light?I have no idea.
When I opened the tent, I was a little reluctant to leave. I knew that this place would never come back in this life.Buddhism says that after mulberry leaves, I only slept here for one night and felt nostalgic.
The scenery in the first half of the day was monotonous, mostly in Gobi, and sometimes there was a bit of Yadan landform.I thought hiking was just like this, but who knew the most difficult part of the road was behind.
At noon, I passed an oasis surrounded by poplar trees and surrounded by clear canals, and had lunch beside the canals and continued walking. After a while of rest, I felt that my steps were so heavy, as if I had been filled with lead. After walking for more than an hour, the Gobi landform disappeared and turned into a saline-alkali land with red willows.Red willow grows on the small sand dunes. White saline can be seen on the flat ground between the dunes, and occasionally very short reeds grow. Not far away years ago, this place should be a swamp. Before leaving, I checked the map and the Balongdun camping tonight was on the banks of Hulu River. The Hulu River Basin was not as desolate as it is today in the Tang Dynasty.Cen Shen once wrote a poem to his family: "The beginning of spring is coming by the alfalfa beacon, and tears on the gourd river are wet."Now the Hulu River has dried up, and the alfalfa beacon is also unavailable.
Because I appreciate the surrounding scenery, I slowed down and after resting for a while under a red willow tree, I could no longer see my companions.Among the red willows, you can only see ten meters away.Fortunately, there is GPS Navigation, I'm not panicked. After walking alone for about an hour, Zhang Weiying's call came from the walkie-talkie, but he didn't bring him. GPS, Now I'm lost with other companions.
A quarter of an hour later, I found Zhang Weiying. In the uninhabited red willow forest, the two met, very friendly.
The most difficult part of the journey that I walked with Zhang Weiying was.The red willows became sparse, replaced by dense camel thorns. The saline-alkali surface that looks flat becomes troughed due to the erosion of running water. We could only walk forward at a speed of 3 kilometers per hour. The bag on our back seemed to weigh a thousand pounds, and only half a bottle of water left was left, so we didn't dare to drink it in big mouthfuls. In order to save energy, we chose to talk as little as possible and move forward slowly 2 meters apart.
The two of them walked about 2 kilometers and saw a group of camels. They couldn't see the free shepherds. The sun was about to set, and the afterglow of the sunset shone on the camels' camels. It was beautiful, but I had no time to appreciate it.There is only one thought: go forward, go forward. One step closer to your destination.
When I was still 3 kilometers away from my destination, I saw a curved path, and it seemed that people usually walk.Professor Zhang suggested not to press GPS Walk straight forward in the direction indicated. Although the distance is short, it is all camel thorns, which is too difficult to walk. It is better to take a detour and follow the path, as long as the general direction is correct.
We walked on the trail for a few minutes, heard the sound of whistles, and turned around and saw a police car modified from a minivan van rushing towards us in the dust.It turned out that it was from the local county public security bureau, so I went to our camp.Ask us if we want to take a ride.As we all decided to get on the bus, it was too late and we had to walk at least an hour for the remaining three kilometers.
In this way, I did not hike the remaining short distance and chose to give up at the critical moment.
500 meters in front of the camp is the Hulu River, which has a stream of flowing water. After crossing this river, Xuanzang broke up with his disciple Shi Pantuo, who accompanied him, and continued to travel west alone.According to "Biography of Master Sanzang of Dacien Temple", two people are willing to cross the river at the third update and see Yumen Pass from afar. The place where they crossed the river was about ten miles above Yumenguan. "The Hu people (Shipantuo) cut wood into bridges, filled with sand in linens, and drove horses past."A researcher in "Journey to the West" proposed that Shi Pantuo is one of the prototypes of Sun Wukong, and the novelist said that it cannot correspond to history one by one.Sun Wukong has the shadow of the Indian monkey and the shadow of Shi Pantuo.Wukong exorcists and monsters all the way, and Shi Pantuo helped Xuanzang cross the river, it was so similar. In particular, people who read "The Biography of Master Tripitaka" and "Journey to the West" should be reminded to pay attention to two things: Shi Pantuo and Wukong both tried to commit great harm to Xuanzang under the influence of the inner demon.
After Xuanzang and Shi Pantuo crossed the river and rested, "When he was young, Hu people drew their swords and stood up. Master Xu Xiang returned after he had not reached ten steps. He didn't know what the intention was, and he suspected that he had a different intention, so he started to recite scriptures and recite Guanyin Bodhisattva. When the Hu people saw that they were still lying down and then fell asleep."Why did Shi Pantuo have such an inner demon?Maybe he was worried that the road ahead would be difficult and it was almost impossible to go to India to seek scriptures, and he was afraid that Xuanzang would implicate himself. He later explained to Xuanzang: "The future of my disciples is far and there are no water plants. Only there is water under the five peaks, but if you are awakened, you will be dead.It is better to return it and use it as a safe place."Dang Shi Pantuo said, "Disciple cannot go."Since the family is tiring, the king's law cannot be approved."The mage asked Shi Pantuo to go home by himself, and Shi Pantuo was worried that the mage would be captured, so he confessed to him.Xuanzang vowed: "Even if you cut this body like dust, you will never lead to each other."In this way, Shi Pantuo felt relieved that Xuanzang was walking west alone.
Today's Yumen Pass site is a remnant of the Han Dynasty, about 100 kilometers west of Dunhuang City. The Yumen Pass that Xuanzang saw from afar is the Yumen Pass of the Tang Dynasty, more than 200 kilometers northeast of the Yumen Pass of the Han Dynasty. The specific location has not yet been concluded. The "spring breeze does not cross the Yumen Pass" refers to the Tang Yumen Pass that is unavailable today.
The last two days: Xuanzang's loneliness today's hustle and bustle
The theme of the third day hiking is loneliness. This journey was very lonely when Xuanzang walked by more than 1,300 years ago.Because he was able to travel with business travelers and followers sent by various countries until he reached Yiwu Kingdom (now Hami). But for us on this day, it was a noisy day because we had to pass through the county town.
When Balongdun walked towards the county town, he passed a mountain road and arrived on the asphalt road. Many locals were already waiting there with their children.Needless to say, I was waiting for Sister Xiaoya.Yesterday, I was in the campsite, so far away from the city. During dinner, little boys and girls kept coming into the tent and taking photos with Wang Xiaoya.Wang Xiaoya stopped chopsticks several times and stood up. pose。 Later, Master Yanzang preached that Xiaoya took photos with others according to Buddhist theory, which is also a kind of "giving".The two points coincided in the moment when Xiaoya and the child took photos. A Vajra seed was planted in the hearts of these star-chasing children. Once this seed was planted in their hearts, the formation of causes and conditions may make them the second Wang Xiaoya.
After lunch in the county town, we headed from the Gobi Desert in the north of the city to Baidunzi, today's campsite. The route is close to the national highway, and there is no feeling of loneliness when cars come and go.About 5 kilometers away from the county town, there is a collapsed cave next to the ancient post road.People from the county cultural management office said that this was the place where Lin Zexu lived when he was exiled to Yili, Xinjiang, and now it has become a paradise for rats and wild dogs.At that time, Lin Zexu was guarding a lonely lamp and facing the desert, his mood must be lonely and miserable. The state affairs were in chaos and the war in the southeast was not extinguished."If it is beneficial to the country's life and death, how can we avoid it because of misfortune and fortune?" "I dream of the mountains and mountains, but still listen to the sound of warships in Jiangdong." "I am here to be together, but who can determine right and wrong in history?"The poems that are so loud and powerful were written on the way to Yili. The reason why the two lonely sages could grit their teeth and persevere was that Xuanzang believed in the greatness of Buddhism and Lin Zexu believed in the justice of history.
When we arrived at Baidunzi before sunset, it was the sky full of light, and the camp was built between a patch of reeds and red willows. Here we were surrounded by mountains and springs, and we startled a few wild ducks and suddenly flew out of the reed marsh.Xuanzang passed by bypassing Yumen Pass and the first beacon tower he passed by was Bai Dunzi, which still stood on the top of the mountain.Professor Li Zhengyu introduced that Baidunzi was called Guangxianyi in ancient times. It was built during the Yongping period of the Eastern Han Dynasty and was rebuilt in the Tang and Qing dynasties.
《According to the Biography of Master Sanzang, Xuanzang hid in the sand ditch for a long time, and at night he went to the west to fetch water. The soldiers on the beacon tower discovered that an arrow shot and almost hit the knee.At this critical moment, Xuanzang simply revealed his identity and shouted: I am a monk from the capital. Then lead the horse into the pass.Wang Xiang, the lieutenant guarding the pass, was also a Buddhist. After knowing the identity of the master, he warmly welcomed Xuanzang, let him sleep in the beacon tower for a night, and gave him water and food the next day, and sent him away for more than ten miles.
I climbed up the beacon tower and listened to Professor Li explaining which section of the foundation was from the Han Dynasty, which acres of bricks were from the Tang Dynasty, and which walls were from the Qing Dynasty.Today's beacon tower is smaller than that in the Tang Dynasty. Professor Li pointed to the remaining foundation behind the beacon tower and said that this is the living area of the soldiers guarding the pass in the Tang Dynasty. The place where Master Xuanzang slept back then should have been here.
At night, a group of people gathered around the bonfire and started singing.Under the starry sky, these successful people wearing various masks in the city sing and shouting like children.Everyone was playing a group game by the bonfire, passing a cigarette box as a treasure box, and everyone had to tell the truth to it.When he arrived at Master Yanzang, Yanzang said: To be honest, this is just a cigarette box, not a treasure box. What is heaven?Heaven is like everyone gathering around the fire to cook fire together. What is hell?Hell is to throw a person into the middle of the fire and roast.
10On the 30th of the month, the last day of hiking. The mileage is only 20 kilometers, and the destination is also the end of this "experience journey". It is said that when Xuanzang traveled west, the Tang Empire had a third beacon tower outside Yumen Pass here.
Climbing over several hills covered with green rust ―――It is said that there is a copper mine here, and we bypassed a dry river. At about 3 pm, we also boarded the ancient post road.I found that two people walked past us on the left.A man carrying a heavy bag was Wang Shi. He would go to Antarctica to hike in December, so he specially added a burden to himself.Another red scarf with a light walk is Wang Xiaoya.Unexpectedly, they ran so fast. We tried to speed up and surpass them several times, but they seemed to have eyes on the back of their heads. When we accelerated, they also accelerated, and they were always about 100 meters away from them.
After a short rest at the finish line, the whole team will take a car back to Dunhuang.I was a little reluctant to leave, but actually wanted to continue. For Xuanzang, his journey to the west has just begun. The "Biography of Master Sanzang" records that he bypassed the second and third beacons and went straight to the fourth beacons. Through the introduction of the first beacon's captain Wang Xiang, he met Wang Bolong, the guard officer and Wang Xiang's fellow tribe. Wang Bolong gave Xuanzang a large skin full of water and wheat cakes.Tell him that he didn't have to pass the fifth beacon, because the generals guarding the beacon were difficult to get along, so he might as well take another path, about a hundred miles to Wild Horse Spring, and then take the water forward.
Xuanzang detoured from the fourth beacon into Moyanhe Dynasties and did not find the wild horse spring. The water was so confused that he was hesitant and hesitant, but finally gritted his teeth and moved forward. The thin horse helped him find the water source when he had hallucinations. He survived the disaster and walked out of the vast desert.
Is this story true or false? We cannot go back to Xuanzang's side through the time tunnel. We can only accept everything recorded in historical books conservatively and with doubts.
Unfortunately, we can't hike through the 800-mile sea of sand, and we have to return to the metropolis.
After returning to Dunhuang in the evening, at the dinner table, the most talked about idealism.People who can leave the city and walk through the desert are more or less idealistic. But is there any idealism in today's Chinese entrepreneurs outside the desert?Because entrepreneurs want to make money, does making money conflict with idealism?
Dr. Qi Daqing, vice president of the Yangtze Business School, believes that today's real entrepreneurs in China have a very strong idealistic color. The most different thing about this generation of entrepreneurs and professional managers in Europe and the United States, and even European and American entrepreneurs is that their experience is complete. They have experienced the entire process of starting a company, growing and growing a company. This process is very rare, and this process is condensed in a person, so they have very strong intuition and beliefs.
On the way back to Beijing, I kept thinking that no matter whether it is rich or poor, developed or frustrated, the road I walked alone must have been when Xuanzang passed through the desert alone and the "funds of thousands of miles" was lost all of a sudden. Some people survived, while others failed.
The beginning and end of Zheng He and Xuanzang's journey through thousands of miles are very different.Zheng He began his first voyage in infinite scenery. After Emperor Yongle died, he had no shelter and died in the desolation and depression. The navigation logs and maps were burned by Liu Daxia. The Chinese Empire began a maritime ban, and the gate was blocked for 500 years, until the Westerners forced open it with gunboats.
Xuanzang took the risk of traveling west as a smuggling body, not thinking about the prestige of the country or the wealth of India, but just seeking Buddhism. But after seventeen years, he returned to the Tang Dynasty. Emperor Taizong of Tang ordered officials to welcome him in Dunhuang. After arriving in Chang'an, he even "everyone respected him."The most brilliant era in the history of the Chinese nation has just begun. This is probably the paradox of history.
