You will only have only a slight understanding of it, but you will not understand it. Your mind is full of contradictions and conflicts.As a result, the more I practice, the more I become lazy, the more I practice, the more I become stupid, the more I learn, the more confused I become, and the more I practice, the less confident I feel.What does it mean to be lazy the more you practice? Many people chant Buddha's name, recite scriptures, meditate, lock themselves in the house, not moving or speaking, not touching people, not touching things, not loving activities, not loving labor, all of them become lazy, and they are used to this.What kind of person have they become? They are not like home and outside. The home is not like home, and people are not like human beings. They are stupid. Everyone is sad when they see it. Some people are even proud of themselves, "I am doing asceticism!" There is no dynamic exercise, no static exercise, no skill, no purity, and the mind has never been pure, and in the end, their body collapses.Because I don’t understand the truth, I will be shaken when I get sick, I begin to doubt Buddhism, and finally completely discouraged and retreat.There is a saying in Tibet, "A man sees it, which makes a hundred people sad."Many people have bad views on Buddhism because they see this situation, and they dare not study Buddhism, for fear of becoming such a person!

This situation is very common now! Don’t do this, don’t ruin yourself! According to the world, the worldly Dharma has not been done well; according to the Buddhism, the Buddhism has not been practiced well.I have done nothing well and I have never been truly happy in this life. I am so painful, and it is still said that I am hard-working.This is not the case with asceticism!

Practicing hardships on the surface is painful, but it is happy in the heart.Although those ascetics do not have material enjoyment, they have spiritual enjoyment.Spiritual enjoyment is the greatest enjoyment, and inner happiness is the true happiness.I also have a little bit of this.Compared with the conditions we had in Larung before, it can be said that we were so different! At that time, we couldn’t eat enough and we couldn’t wear warm clothes.Living in a dirt house, it rains heavily outside in summer and lightly inside; in winter, it blows heavily outside and lightly inside.According to material conditions, we are the worst and the most bitter.When you come back from get out of class in winter morning, your hands and feet will be frozen.When I came back from the debate in the evening, my whole hand would be frozen and cracked, and pus and blood were leaking. It was particularly bitter, but my inner happiness was extremely happy.

In Larung, you are relatively free. If you want to leave, no one will stop you.But none of us would want to leave, nor would we leave for a moment.What is the reason for this? Because our spiritual enjoyment and inner happiness are incomparable and indescribable.Our master is very compassionate and loving to us. Buddhism is nectar. The master preaches us every day, allowing us to enjoy the nectar of Buddhism every day.We Vajra fellows are also very united, very harmonious, respect each other and help each other.The master once said that Larung has no other characteristics. So many people can be united and harmonious, which is the characteristic of Larung.We talk about Buddhism at any time and enjoy the essence of Buddhism.Not just me, everyone is unwilling to leave.

When I was in Larung, one day, a guest from my hometown came. He felt that our environment was too harsh and the conditions were too poor. He hoped that I would not stay here and would go back to the temple.At that time, I laughed at him in my heart and felt sorry for him.He could only see these external material conditions and had no idea how I felt inside.

When we tell the story of Millerepa, some people are scared away and think that practicing is too difficult and too hard.In fact, Millerpa doesn't have to go through such suffering, but in fact he doesn't feel bitter inside.But why did he show these things and act like this for us? This is also a way of saying it! His heart is filled with incomparable happiness, and he is the real achiever.

Although his material conditions are extremely poor and seem painful on the surface, he sings and dances, and enjoys joy and happiness in his heart.This is hard practice.

You see, your own people are not like individuals, your family is not like a family, and you are in pain, and the sentient beings around you are in pain.This is not called asceticism. It cannot be called practice at all. Can it still be called asceticism? Don’t have this dream! You should wake up, demonstrate the Dharma well, practice well, eat when you should eat, wear when you should wear, use when you should use, and follow the circumstances. Don’t be obsessed with or pursue these things.Your intentional obsession with pursuing asceticism is also a kind of demon and an obstacle.Your intentional persistence in pursuing wealth is also a kind of demon and an obstacle.We must always follow the middle path, the right path, be moderate, be impartial, and not fall into both sides.

The greater the blessing you have, the greater the blessing you have.I don’t refuse when I come, I don’t pursue it, and I don’t miss it when I leave.This is the real practitioner.When fate is here, you don’t want it or even escape, which is also an obstacle.If you don’t have fate, you will pursue and be persistent, which is also an obstacle.
