The Venerable Master Xuanhua: Confucius and Lao Tzu are both incarnations of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas

The Venerable Master Xuanhua

The difference between Buddhism and Confucianism is that one advocates the worldly law and the other is the birth law. However, the law of birth is attained by the worldly law, not the law of birth without the worldly law. Confucius is an unprecedented great sage in China, a prophet and a prophet, and he has a considerable background. Why was Confucius born in China? Originally, Confucius was a water moon boy in Buddhism in his previous life, just like a good wealth boy;

And China's Lao Tzu, the patriarch of Taoism, is the embodiment of the Buddhist Lao Ka Ye; Yan Hui is the incarnation of the bright moon Confucian child in Buddhism. Why did Patriarch Kasa incarnate as Lao Tzu? Why did the Water Moon Boy incarnate as Confucius? Why did Mingyue Confucian Tong incarnate into Yan Hui? This is because of the Mahayana nature of BuddhismkarmaWhen they arrived in China, this group of Buddhist bodhisattvas rushed to China in order to open the way for Buddhism. They built the road of Buddhism first, and when Buddhism spread to China, it would be easy for these Mahayana people to accept it. Otherwise, when Buddhism was transmitted to China, ordinary people did not learn Taoism or Confucianism, so Buddhism was very profound, and no one understood or accepted it, which was very laborious. So Lao Jiaye also worked hard, and first went to China to incarnate as Lao Tzu. How do you call Lao Tzu? Because his hair was white when he was born, his beard was also white, and he was already old when he was born, so he was called Lao Tzu.

Lao Tzu, whose surname is Li Ming'er, came to China and constantly tried to promote Taoism, not Buddhism. As for the Shuiyue boy, he advocated Confucianism, so he opened two flat roads. Therefore, when Buddhism spread to China, it came naturally, and many people accepted the teachings of Buddhism. Confucianism in China, for example, when students in primary school have just entered the school, they study the principles that are easy for children to understand. Then in the future, you will go to middle school, and the principles of Chinese Taoism are like the curriculum of middle school; After finishing middle school, you have to go to university, so the course of Buddhism is the course of the university, so the three religions of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism are three and one, one and three. Primary school is for middle school, middle school is for university, and university is for all ordinary people who want to further their studies, so there are elementary schools, middle schools, and universities, and Buddhism can be said to be a university that is all over the Dharma realm. Although this university is here, not everyone can enter the university, and there are many people who don't even know the words, so there are many people who don't know Buddhism and don't know what Buddhism is, which is the reason, because although there are elementary schools and middle schools, all children may not be able to enter primary school, and all students who should go to secondary school may not be able to enter middle school completely, which is also the reason. Therefore, in China, Confucianism is the curriculum of primary schools, and other religions can be said to be the curriculum of secondary schools, while Buddhism is all-encompassing, all-encompassing, and all-inclusive. Then there are still many people who can't read and write, can't go to university, can't go to middle school, can't go to elementary school.

Confucius of Confucianism also has five eyes and six links, and he also has considerable intelligence and profound intelligence, so Confucius was born with the auspicious appearance of Lin Tu Yushu. Confucius said, "I am determined to learn five out of ten," and he said that when I was fifteen years old, I was determined to learn the method of life and death, but although I had this ambition, I had not really made up my mind. "Standing at thirty", when I was thirty years old, I made up my mind, I mustPracticeFinish. "Forty is not confused", when he is forty years old, all his doubts, doubts, and confusions are broken, so he is not confused. If you are not confused, you are not moved, that is, Mencius said that he is not moved by the heart at forty. What doesn't you see? Wealth, sex, fame, food, and sleep are not moving. wealth, he is not greedy, but only in moderation; Neither is he greedy; fame, and he is not greedy; He is not greedy for food, good things; Sleep, and don't be greedy for sleep. Not confused, that is, not confused,PrajnaIntelligence is here. "Knowing the destiny of heaven at fifty", when Confucius was fifty years old, he really got his fate. This destiny is also fate, and he can know what the philosophy of life is; He also knows the fate of man - what is the past life of man. "Sixty and obedient", when he is sixty years old, he has the kung fu of ear shun. Ear Shun, in the words of ordinary secular people, can be said to have heavenly eyes and heavenly ears. Generally, secular people say clairvoyance and downwind ears, which is the role of heavenly ears and heavenly eyes. "Seventy and do what he wants", and when he was seventy years old, he got all the leaks. If he gets all the holes, then his job is done. In order to pave the way of Buddhism, he should emphasize the eight virtues of loyalty, filial piety, benevolence, love, faith, righteousness, harmony and peace; He also talked about the eight items of knowledge, sincerity and righteousness, self-cultivation and family, and governing the country and leveling the world; He also talked about the three programs of Mingde, Xinmin, and Perfection, which opened up half of the road of Buddhism. Gewu, what is Gewu? What we ordinary old scholars and old scholars understand is to get rid of your material desires, get rid of your habits, your delusions. This material desire includes your desires, including the things you can't let go, these are all desires, and they must be eliminated. You can get rid of material desires, and then your intelligence can be cheerful, and you can be present, so you have to be enlightened. Knowledge and sincerity; If you are sincere, then you will be right; You can be right, and then you can cultivate yourself. If your mind is not right, your body cannot be cultivated, and if your mind is not sincere, your mind cannot be right. Self-cultivation, and then the family is also Qi, the country is also governed, this is what Confucius talked about the knowledge of things, sincerity and righteousness, self-cultivation and family, governing the country and leveling the world, these eight items can be said to include the meaning of the law of the world and the law of birth.

However, Confucianism only knows the worldly law, but does not pay attention to the birth law, so it is a primary school; It talks about five virtues, brothers, parents and ancestors have five virtues, and the eight virtues are loyalty, filial piety, benevolence, faith, righteousness and peace, which paves half of the road of Buddhism. Taoism has paved half of the road of Buddhism; Taoism tells people to break off love, but it is not as certain as Buddhism says, Taoism says:

"Madame is so clear, but her heart is disturbed; People's hearts are quiet, and they want to lead them. He can always send his desires, and his heart is quiet; Clear their hearts, and their minds are clear. Naturally, the six desires are not born, and the three poisons are eliminated. Therefore, those who can't do it are not clear in their hearts, and their desires are not sent. Those who can send it look inside their hearts, and their hearts have no hearts; The appearance is its shape, and the shape is not its shape; Looking at things from afar, there is nothing in them. There is none of the three, but they are seen in emptiness. Watching the sky is also empty, empty and empty; There is nothing in the emptiness, nothing in the absence of nothing; Nothing, nothing, nothing, and silence; When there is no loneliness, how can desire be born? If you want to not be born, you are truly quiet. ”

"Mrs. God is so pure, and the heart disturbs it", this god of man is so pure, but the heart of man is not honest, like a horse monkey, jumping up and down, running south and running north, so it is said that "the heart of the horse is like an ape", the heart is like a horse, the image is like an ape, it is not honest. "The human heart is so quiet, and the desire to hold it", the human heart is so pure, but the desire is there to hold it, so that it is not pure. "Always be able to send away their desires, and their hearts are quiet; Clarify their hearts, and the gods are self-purifying", naturally the six desires will not be born, and the three poisons will be eliminated. "Therefore, those who can't do it are not clear in their hearts, and their desires are not sent. Those who can send it look inside their hearts, and their hearts have no hearts; The appearance is its shape, and the shape is not its shape; Looking at things from afar, there is nothing in them. There is none of the three, but they are seen in emptiness. Watching the sky is also empty, empty and empty; There is nothing in the emptiness, nothing in the absence of nothing; Nothing, nothing, nothing, and silence; If there is no loneliness, how can desire be born?" When this "loneliness is gone", how can desire be born? When you are pure to the extreme, and you are clear to the extreme, you will naturally have no desire. "Desire is not born, that is, it is true quiet", this is a true purity.

The difference between Buddhism and Confucianism is that one advocates the worldly law, and the other is the birth law, and this birth law is the birth law from the worldly law, and it is not the birth law that leaves the worldly law. Ordinary people arepraiseConfucius, whether it was his students or ordinary people in society, said that he was worthy of heaven and earth, the way of ancient and modern, all the sons of a hundred schools, omniscient, erudite and versatile, learned a lot, and had a wide range of abilities. So guysStudy BuddhismDharma people, first of all, you must also understand the principles of Taoism and Confucianism, and then you will naturally understand the principles of Buddhism.
