These contents were spoken by me, Ananda, personally.

At that time, the Buddha showed the merits of the Dharma body and the reward body as one, entered the treasure of supernatural powers and light that was inherent in the Dharma nature, and resided in the Samadhi of Empty and Equality of Empty and Light.This samadhi is the land of eternal silence, and is achieved through the light of the mind and nature of all Tathagata, and is solemnly shared.It is also the place where all sentient beings are originally pure and enlightened.In this state, the body form and mind are all restored to their original nirvana, and the boundless vast equality of their nature is presented. It is fully spread throughout the ten method realms and naturally follows the wonderful nature of emptiness and existence.

In this wonderful nature of emptiness and existence, the Buddha has transformed into a pure land and gathered with more than 100,000 great Bodhisattvas.Among them are: Manjushri Bodhisattva, Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, Universal Eye Bodhisattva, Vajra Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, Maitreya Bodhisattva, Pure and Wisdom Bodhisattva, Powerful and Virtuous Bodhisattva, Vision Bodhisattva, Pure and Freedom Bodhisattva, Pure and All Karma Bodhisattva, Universal Enlightenment Bodhisattva, Perfect Enlightenment Bodhisattva, Virtuous and Good-shou Bodhisattva, etc., and are the top of all great Bodhisattvas.They led their respective relatives to enter the Samadhi Samadhi and resided together in the equal Dharma Assembly of the Tathagata.

Chapter 1: Questioned by Manjushri Bodhisattva

Therefore, Manjushri Bodhisattva stood up from his seat among the masses, prostrated himself, worshiped the Buddha devoutly, and circled the Buddha three times clockwise, showing his incomparable respect.Then he knelt on his knees, crossed his hands and asked the Buddha respectfully:

“The compassionate World Honored One!I hope you can talk about the origin of the Tathagata's pure consciousness and the methods of practicing in the causal realm for the Bodhisattvas who participated in this Dharma Assembly.Please tell me how Bodhisattvas should develop true pure faith in Mahayana Buddhism and stay away from all paranoid diseases.Your statement will enable those who study Mahayana Buddhism in the future Dharma-Ending Ages will not fall into the wrong view."After Manjushri Bodhisattva asked about the Dharma, he prostrated himself again and worshiped the Buddha.I asked three times in devout manner like this, from beginning to end, in an orderly manner.

At this time, the Buddha replied to Manjushri Bodhisattva, "Very good, very good!Good man, you can ask the Tathagata how to practice in the causal realm for all Bodhisattvas;In order to enable those who study Mahayana Buddhism in the Dharma-Ending Age to settle in the Dharma with correct faith and will not fall into evil views.Now please listen carefully, Tathagata will explain to you.”

So Manjushri Bodhisattva was happy because of the teachings of the World Honored One and listened quietly to the Dharma with all the great Bodhisattvas who were attending the meeting.The Buddha said:

“Dear men, Tathagata is the supreme Dharma King and understands countless Dharmas.There is a vast method of general holding, called Perfect Enlightenment.From this method, all pure true natures, Bodhi awareness, Great Nirvana, and the wonderful methods of paramita liberation flow out.It teaches and teaches all Bodhisattvas that when all Tathagatas practice in the causal stage, they rely on the perfect illumination of their own mind and the pure awakening, thus eliminating ignorance forever, and achieving Buddhahood.”

“What is ignorance?Dear good men, all sentient beings have fallen into all kinds of inverted knowledge and views for countless kalpas.It's like a lost person, confusing all directions of east, south, west and north.Because of being lost, sentient beings mistakenly believe that the physical body composed of earth, water, fire and wind is their true body;I mistakenly believe that the shadows falling in the consciousness of the six dusts such as color, sound, fragrance, taste, touch, and Dharma are my true heart.For example, a person with eye disease sees many beautiful flowers in the void, and sees the moon in the sky overlapping into two.”

“Dear men, there are actually no beautiful flowers in the void, it is just the patient's false attachment.It is precisely because of the false attachment that we not only confuse the original self-nature of the void, but also fascinate the seemingly real flowers, thinking that they have really emerged from somewhere.The same is true for all living beings. Due to various inverted knowledge and views, they have a false cycle of life and death, so it is called ignorance.”

“Dear men, this thing called ignorance is not a real existence.For example, when we see someone in a dream, we cannot say that he hasn’t.After waking up from the dream, there was no such person at all!Just like the flowers in the void mentioned above, when the eye disease is cured, the flowers disappear.But we cannot say that those flowers disappear from some certain place.Why?Because they have never been born from some certain place at all.The same is true for all sentient beings. In the perfect consciousness of no birth and death, they have seen all kinds of false appearances of birth and death due to false attachments.So it is called the cycle of life and death.”

“Dear men, when the Tathagata practiced the perfect enlightenment method in the causal realm, he knew that everything in the world was like the empty flower in the eyes of the patient.So I realized that there is no reincarnation in life and death, nor is there a real body or mind that is suffering from the pain of reincarnation in life and death.It does not disappear after some kind of creation, but it does not exist in the perfect consciousness.The one who is clearly able to know and perceive is like the void, invisible and formless, vast and boundless.In addition, if you want to establish a perception like the void, it will become an empty flower in the sick eyes.But it cannot be considered as unconscious.Let go of the views on both sides of existence and none, which is called following the pure and perfect enlightenment.”

“Why?Because the perfect consciousness is the emptiness;Because it is never moving;Because there is no arising or perishing in the Tathagatagarbha, there is no knowledge or insight that can be established;Just like the equality of the vast Dharma Realm, it is the ultimate perfection and spread throughout the ten directions of the world.If you can observe the perfect consciousness in this way, it is called the method of Tathagata's causal practice.With this observation, all Bodhisattvas can develop pure faith in Mahayana Buddhism.If sentient beings in the Dharma-Ending Age observe their practice according to this method, they will not fall into evil views.”

At this time, in order to reiterate the Dharma meaning, the Buddha said in the form of a verse:

“Manjushri Bodhisattva, you must know that all the Tathagata of the Three Ages,

Since the initial practice of causal practice, we have been enlightened with perfect wisdom.

Thus, it realizes ignorance and illusion, knowing that it is like a sick person's eyes are empty.

Nowadays, life and death are circulated.Like the person I saw in my dreams,

It's unavailable after waking up from the dream.The perfect consciousness is like the void,

Equality without wavering.Awareness fills the ten directions of the world,

If you can personally realize it, you will become a Buddha.All illusions are nowhere to be destroyed.

Even if you become a Buddha, you will have nothing to gain. The original consciousness is always perfect.

In this Dharma, all Bodhisattvas can develop pure Bodhi faith;

In the Dharma-Ending Age, sentient beings with a chance to be destined to be eliminated by practicing this way.”
