From your perspective, it is like this, and what he sees is the pattern behind it.There are so many differences because your standing position is different, but it must be mutual confirmation.Why does he say this is?It has something to do with his position, but no matter what he is saying, it is definitely different from saying something else.If you are talking about this and he is talking about that, the two are inconsistent.Since we are all talking about cups, they look different, but they are actually confirming, complementing and digging each other.

This time we have great blessings. The monks talk about right knowledge and right views, and they are all expounding each other. Some even talk about Theravada Buddhism and Tibetan Buddhism.There are many sects of Chinese Buddhism, but they all explain and confirm each other, which shows that Buddhism is indeed the truth, and it is useless to just talk about the mystery and wonderful things.Just like no matter how many books you read about swimming, what's the use of not going down to swim?

You must use meditation and contemplation to guide you, and you must all control the six senses.Don’t chant and you will feel nothing. Amitabha, Amitabha, Amitabha...what should you eat today?Amitabha, Amitabha...Oh!I was a little bored in the afternoon, so I went to the park to visit, which means that the wisdom of meditation and observation must be in it.Without the wisdom of observation, if you have a stop or a view, you will eventually fall into stubborn emptiness and drowsiness. It is not much different from the recorder chanting, and it is no different from the parrot chanting.You see, many of us chant the Buddha's name like this: Amitabha, Amitabha... You see, this kind of chanting Buddha's name means that there is no wisdom of observation, and in fact, you cannot obtain the true meaning of Buddhism.

The two of them sat here talking about chanting Buddha's name, "Oh!How much did you read yesterday?I recite ten thousand, oh, I only recite eight thousand.No, you are still powerful. I have to read 12,000 tomorrow, which is a little more than you."We are studying Buddhism and practicing, not comparing numbers, not counting numbers, but whether your mind corresponds to Buddhism. Buddhism is also a mental method.You see **The master demonstrates to worship Buddha to us. Is the faster the better?Every action has its meaning.Why did he follow this action at the same time?Why do you need to open your eyes in this action? Why can’t you close your eyes?If you didn’t have the master’s teaching, you really don’t know.For example, if you worship Buddha and close your eyes, do you sometimes have headaches, irritability, and easily get drowsy?Why do you have to face your forehead against the ground, unlike some people who plant onions in the back and then till they are burying them all at once?If such actions are older and have high blood pressure, they will cause discomfort, so they are all given special considerations. If you don’t listen to the Master’s teachings, you really don’t know.

Anyway, I am not going anywhere now, and I am just preparing to work hard like this."I said: This is not necessarily correct.We also need to read and recite the Mahayana. If you don’t even read the Lotus Sutra, you may... you still have to listen to the Dharma and listen to the master’s teachings. You can’t just read the book or the CD by yourself.Otherwise, if this continues, there will definitely be many delusions.Think about it, if you count, you will definitely have too many delusions.Without the wisdom of observation, then every day, it will eventually become a form of describing Buddha sincerely and absent-mindedly.Some of us speak the same way, for example, "Hello" or "Thank you", and some people will have opinions: "He said thank you, but I don't think he has any intention of thanking you."For example, someone said, "I'm sorry, that's not OK.""It's just a process, because you don't actually have that true intention to support it in your heart.It is actually a pity if we recite the Buddha's name to such a level. It is like the Buddha's name.

In fact, his cherishing of Buddhism is often more special than that of young people.

No matter men, women, young and old, no matter what age, it is the best time for us to study Buddhism, so don’t look down on ourselves and don’t be proud.When we study Buddhism, we should not just learn it with our own will. We must listen to the Dharma and rely on good teachers if we have the opportunity.You must listen to the teachings of good teachers, otherwise you will be closed and you will not deal with the outside world at all."I will read the Buddha's name to the end." In fact, our modern people have worse blessings and even harder to hear about Buddhism because your instrument is even more unsuitable.

Do you want to love? Shi Kuanjian: Look, he already has several views on his own, so what about the others?I tell you: Wherever the temple is placed, there is no opinion of you.You have a lot of opinions on it alone, who will listen to?If others don’t let go of what you say, they will quarrel with others. If you say something wrong, it’s not just what you want.

When you come to the temple, you must learn to abide by temple rules and obey the arrangements.Where does harmony come from?rule.Think about how we followed the temple's arrangements, and how could we have so many opinions here.The food became salty and weak. If you said salty, he said it was salty;I said I would eat cold dishes, but he said it was not possible. I had to eat hot dishes. Who would I listen to?How to arrange the temple.Of course, you can go to the living room to make suggestions, and you should make suggestions through formal channels.

Someone will take care of these when you arrive in the temple (you ),Teach you to abide by the rules.Then if you haven't arrived at the temple, who dares to care about you? This is the blessing power of the temple and will not let you act recklessly. This is also a very important trick: be selfless, follow the crowd, and listen to greetings.

In the movie "Assembly Call", the assembly and retreating call was not blown, and they really kept guarding there. This is the military order.The truth is the same, otherwise it will become a mess.Obviously, the enemy has come, but you still don’t yell the assembly trumpet. What are you going to do? You have to rush after hearing the military trumpet.

The same is true for living in a group. You have to act when you hear the board. Don’t say “Wait, I haven’t finished my work here” or something. This is the rule.If you want to obey the overall situation here, the "I" will be removed slowly, so obeying the arrangements in the temple is a process of ego.It is difficult to understand if you don’t really experience this kind of life. Sometimes, the mage has a lot of content in his lectures and feels like he can't remember it.But you just heard a sentence, and you really caught a sentence, and this time it won’t be in vain.If we live in the temple for a month and can hear a sentence and do it, you are a person with great aptitude.We often live our lives, hear countless words and repeat countless words. I am still doing what I am, without any change. All words are invulnerable to my sword and gun, and I cannot pour water into it.

“Life is impermanent”, is this sentence easy to remember?Then go and realize it.You will enjoy endless benefits when you hear this sentence, "Say less and recite more Buddha", will it work after hearing it?

He said: Master, thank you so much this time.I said, thank you, I don’t remember telling you anything.He said: After I go back, I vow to speak less and never find fault with others.I said: That's good, just be able to find fewer other people's faults.You see, it’s amazing that he can really benefit from one sentence!In fact, Buddhism does not necessarily need to hear many mysterious principles.Of course, it’s not that you can’t listen, but after you hear it, don’t let it slip by easily, even if you can catch it at all.

Of course, the first thing I said is to talk about myself, because I have not done a lot of things and I am not confident enough, but this is really the case.

I will observe every day and reflect on myself. What progress did I have made this year compared to last year.We can further observe: I have any changes today than yesterday.Some people are very subtle but have strong awareness, the power of awareness is observation wisdom, so it is impossible to have a stop but not aware.This power of contemplation and wisdom can bring things back to the right.Why do we get used to our own habits?Because you have no wisdom of observing and cannot make a choice, you are habitually sliding away.Without the power of contemplation wisdom, you cannot be calm. Without the power of contemplation wisdom, you will not have the power of choice.

After all, there are a few who can become monks, especially in our mainland.Taiwan has a population of 27 million, and Taiwan’s monks may have 60,000 to 70,000 or 70,000 to 80,000, which is more than the mainland.There are 1.3 billion people in the mainland, and the number of monks is, some say 200,000 to 300,000, and some say 100,000 to 200,000, including Tibetan Buddhism and Catholicism.That is to say, there are very few people who become monks.

Some people see that monks don’t like each other, and they also seem to have many habits and problems, which are not as good as me.Looking down on monks, and even pointing fingers at monks, saying right and wrong, is actually not qualified.If you have the ability, you can take off this vulgar clothes;If you have the ability, you will be brave and diligent.Can the children and parents of the family let go?I was worried today, "I will go home and love whoever I love."Real becoming a monk is not an easy thing.

Of course, I don’t mean to belittle the bad things for lay people and not be able to practice.I am not encouraging you: "Hurry up and become a monk, don't want your children, don't want your work, don't want your parents."That's not what it means.

Everyone actually has many stories in the process of becoming a monk.The longer I become a monk, the deeper I feel. For example, I have been a monk for more than ten years, but it can't be said to be too long. **The wizard has been forty years, **The monk has been there for more than 30 years. From the length of his life, it can be seen that there is a smell there.Every year you live a monk's life, you feel different and look dull. Eat, drink, defecate, urinate, and sleep. In fact, you understand all kinds of tastes by yourself.

However, not everyone can achieve this monk, and few people do not go through any breakthrough.There are also people who become monks naturally, and there are still fewer people like this.Now that the family has many only children, it may be even more difficult to become a monk in the future.People who believe in Buddhism say that Buddhism is good, and it is also a cause and condition to make their children unable to become monks.If you really want to learn Buddhism, obstacles will appear, which is normal.

Think about it, don’t talk about anything else. If you want to have a good meal, you have to work hard to buy it. You have to work hard to run here and there, and you have to work hard to practice it yourself.If you want to study well, you have to get up early and go to bed late, and you have to suffer more.If you want to do anything well, you have to suffer more.

I also think about it. Every day, I eat melon seeds, drink Coke, and watch TV. One day, "Amitabha" suddenly became successful!Is it possible?Every day, others follow you, respond to you, and suddenly achieve success. Is it possible?

Then we ancestors and great masters have suffered so much, but they are even worse than us?No.

However, if you really want to improve yourself, there will definitely be a breakthrough process.

Shi Kuanjian: Breakthrough through oneself, as mentioned in the "Ten Great Punishment of the Samadhi of the Treasure King" says, for a true practitioner, he has long adapted to or accepted any such situation.

Not to mention us, Sakyamuni Buddha has been fulfilled, and he still has to suffer a lot of hardships.Before becoming a Buddha, he ate squash on his own, but after becoming a Buddha, he was slandered and framed.Have we been slandered by others? Can we bear it? How others slander us? How others hurt us? Is there anyone who takes a knife in the back to stab you? Is there anyone who is holding a big stone on the mountain and rolling down to kill you while you are not paying attention? Is there any brother who is slandering you behind your back? These are all things that happened to Sakyamuni Buddha.

Last time we heard from the monks that the good-hearted monks ended up not believing in Buddhism, slandering the Buddha, and fell into the Avici Hell.Who is the monk who is kind-hearted?Shakyamuni Buddha's cousin.Devadatta hinders the Buddha and makes trouble for the Buddha. Who is Devadatta?He is also the cousin of Sakyamuni Buddha.Ananda is Devadatta's younger brother. Look at how Devadatta harmed the Buddha: the Buddha was at the foot of the mountain, and he pushed a huge stone and rolled down and smashed the Buddha's feet and bleed.If the Buddha had not achieved success, this stone would probably be impossible to escape if it went down.I also let the drunkenness look like I want to step on the Buddha.What should Buddha do?Wow, I have become a Buddha, why dare to step on me? The Buddha remained standing still.According to the classics, each finger turns into a lion, and the elephant naturally kneels down when she comes to the Buddha.There are different opinions.There is another saying that the Buddha has great compassion. The elephant rushed to the Buddha, knelt down with a thud, her eyes were filled with tears, and she was captured by the Buddha's great compassion.

In fact, if you pay attention to animals, you don’t bite some people, bark when you see some people, and wag your tail when you see some people. This is also a different kind of good fate.Also, she instigated a prostitute to put a basin in her stomach. When Shakyamuni Buddha was preaching, she walked in and said: You are still preaching here. Look, my belly is what you have made.Sakyamuni Buddha has become a Buddha and is still like this.

All the people of Shakyamuni Buddha were killed, and the Shakyamuni tribe was destroyed.It’s so embarrassing that they have become Buddhas and their relatives cannot protect them.Some people say that since Amitabha Buddha has such vast supernatural powers, isn’t it enough to just take us all?What else do we keep reciting?You must respond to the Taoist communication yourself.

When Shakyamuni Buddha knew that King Liuli was going to harm his entire relatives, he sat on the necessary way and said: If you want to attack this Shakyamuni Kingdom, go over me.But King Liuli still respects the Buddha very much. When he saw the Buddha blocking there, he said that it would not work today, but the Buddha blocked here.Today, you are lucky in the Sakyamuni clan, and I will retreat when the Buddha is blocking this.The next day I got up earlier, and the Buddha was blocking him, and he retreated.The third time he sent troops at one or two o'clock in the morning, and the Buddha blocked them again.The fourth time the Buddha did not block it, and the karma of sentient beings was incredible.Later, the Sakyamuni clan was all destroyed. At that time, the Buddha's eldest disciple, Maudgalyayana, could not bear it, so he asked a bowl because he had the best supernatural powers. He wanted to save some young people in the Sakyamuni clan, leaving five hundred young men and five hundred young women, and wanted to rescue them, and then put them in the bowl and flew back, and then poured them out and turned them into blood.That is to say, if the karma appears, he cannot escape. If Shakyamuni Buddha had not become a Buddha, he would have died of a life of misfortune. He had a headache for three days!This is the karma of the past life and the power of common karma.

Have we encountered these things?At most it would be good if others talked to you. Why should I say to me if I didn’t do this? At most, I was like this, and I didn’t deduct your salary and didn’t step on you.So, let’s be honest, the more you really want to improve, the more you will be tempered.Someone told you: When you come to me, you will become a level 8 Bodhisattva immediately. If you are lying to you, you will not be able to do this.Because you are greedy for cheap things, you are often deceived. Of course, most of us are obsessed with some cheap things, and who doesn’t want cheap things?Even the motivations of us Buddhists are not very pure. Why do some people want to learn esoteric?You can eat meat when you study secrets.Why do you want to learn Zen?Learn Zen quickly and you will immediately realize your nature and become a Buddha.Why study Pure Land?Pure Land is easy to save trouble and you don’t have to think about anything.Motives are not pure.

To truly study Buddhism, you must go through the process of listening, thinking and practicing. Don’t be afraid of suffering. Buddhism is consistent, and every sect of Buddhism is not contradictory or fighting each other.When we come to study Buddhism, we must be baptized. No matter whether you are pure, secret or meditation, we need to correct ourselves and get rid of our greed, anger and ignorance.Do you think it's okay to keep a little?Do you think that if you study Buddhism, you really have to change all of mine?For example, I have a hobby, just like to smoke a few puffs of cigarettes. Isn’t that okay?There is no room for reservation.I just have a louder voice, can't I keep it a little?If you really want to learn Buddhism, of course it is indeed a difficult process to correct yourself.

Some people say, can you tell me something easier?I said it is easiest for you to be a hooligan on the street, "I am a hooligan whom I am afraid of." It's easy, I love anyone, I'm going to give up. If you really want to learn well, you have to learn to restrain yourself. You must learn to do whatever you want. You have to go through this kind of tempering.Jade cannot become a weapon without being carved, and a person cannot become a talent without being polished.I am also afraid of grinding, so I am also grinding hard, but this has been predicted in advance. If you want to practice, this will inevitably happen.I thought that after studying Buddhism and becoming a monk, I would probably recite scriptures and meditate every day. Then one day, a Buddha might press it on my head and then it would be done.This is not the case.

It will be beneficial for us to read some biographies of the great masters. Every great master gives us one percent of the suffering, but we can't even eat it.
