Hit is to provoke, and sending is to show off.So if we have these five yin, we will inevitably have the five yin demons.If you have no skill in practicing meditation, it ignores you;Once you practice meditation, such as breaking the yin of form, feeling, or thinking of yin, these demons will appear.If you don’t recognize these demons clearly, you may be controlled by it and go astray, which is very dangerous.
Each of the five yins has ten kinds of demons, which will arise according to the state of practice.For example, when the color Yin is cultivated to a certain level, the spiritual consciousness can enter and exit freely;Or the practice of introspection can see the situation inside the body, and there are insects in the five internal organs, and there are no obstacles in the body.
Or the image of the Buddha can be revealed in concentration, and even the Buddha is still preaching;Or you can see all kinds of things in the darkness;Or as the concentration becomes deeper and deeper, the body is like a plant and tree, and there is no pain even if you cut with a knife;Or you can see from a distance and see clearly;Or you can hear these sounds from a very far distance and you can hear them.
When these states appear, if you have correct views, you will know that this is temporarily manifested by the concentration of practice of meditation. It is not realized by the true saint who breaks afflictions, or if you do not understand the holy thing, and this demonic thing can be stopped.
If you say it!How good is my state? I have already had the first fruit, the second fruit, the third fruit, and the fourth fruit. That is, if I do a saint's understanding, I will suffer from all evil.In this case, ordinary people may not be able to withstand the test. If they have a little state, they will think that they have reached their homes and attained enlightenment.These are the ten kinds of demons of color yin.Besides, when a practitioner breaks the yin of the body, he will break the yin of the feeling. At this time, he should pay attention to the ten demons of the feeling.
All sentient beings have great compassion, but when a kind heart arises, if there is no right view to balance it, you will easily become sympathetic.I was so sad that I saw those flies and ants, like my sons. I saw them so pitiful, but I burst into tears when I saw them. It was so sad. And so on, it was called the devil of sadness.
There are also mad demons, easy contentment demons, self-slow demons, desire demons, etc.The devil of desire is in meditation. Due to the incorrect knowledge and understanding, the greed is very strong and he accidentally enters the state of various desires.If you can realize that this is a situation where there will be deviations, you can correct it;If you think it is the state of enlightenment of a saint, it will be troublesome.
Once this destiny demon enters the heart of a practitioner without correct views, he will tempt him to say: lust, anger, and ignorance are the path to Bodhi, and they will be transformed into various white clothes to commit lust.If there is no correct knowledge and view, those who commit lust still think they are the Dharma-speaking (that is, those who practice Buddhism).Thanks to the blessing of this power of ghosts and gods, the destiny and demons can accept fools without correct views and act together with them. There are as many as hundreds of millions of such people.
After the devil of desire has been alive for a long time, the person's blessings and power are lost, and he develops disgust. He leaves this person's body, and troubles will soon follow. He suffers from the national law during his lifetime and falls into the Avici Hell after his death.This is the Yin Demon.
Let's take a look at the Yin Demon.I think the Yin Demon will appear as a possession phenomenon.If you have a greedy mind: greed for skillfulness, response, greed for in-depth meditation, greed for supernatural powers, longevity, etc., these demons or old monsters will immediately take advantage of the situation to attach themselves to you.
Whatever you want can satisfy your wishes.For example, if a person wants to seek many very special Dharmas and wants only him to know, these demons will change to the image of Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, or great masters to preach to him.If this person sees these situations in meditation, he will think it is very true: Oh, I know many Dharmas, and what I said specifically for me, no one else knows!
Thanks to the blessing of magic, his arrogance became aroused, and he was indeed eloquent and could speak well.When the demon leaves his body, his deceptive cause and effect will appear, and he will fall into the king's life and fall into hell after death.
If our bodies are compared to a house, once possessed, it is like a house with two owners fighting there.You see, there are people who are possessed now, and it is really hard.
Why is this phenomenon of possession?
Those possessed must have something to be greedy.In the past, when we went to the Northeast to spread the Dharma, some possessed people would come.But these people will give positive comments on the possessed demon, saying that they are his guardian gods, and they must serve them well and have this kind of understanding.
The possessed person is actually suffering. He is possessed and will not let him sleep when he wants to sleep, and he is talking about this and that next to his ear.He was also curious and liked to ask some things: I want to do this, how can I do it?He wants to ask about the things inside his body.
Sometimes he really wants to do something, but he doesn't let him do it. He is so entangled that he is physically and mentally exhausted!Therefore, we must completely let go of this desire.What should I do if my possession comes?You really have to treat it well.Since you are here, it is also a sentient being. First of all, you must live in peace with it, treat it with kindness, say that I want to chant the Buddha's name and dedicate it to you, and then ask it to chant the Buddha's name together.
Because these possessed demons or old monsters are all dark. When you chant the Buddha's name, the inner light appears, and it cannot stay and will leave.
《The Shurangama Sutra says that in the Dharma-Ending Age, the ten kinds of demons who think of the Yin often become monks and practice Taoism, which is very troublesome.This is also a decline in the Dharma-Ending Age. The demons enter the Sangha, or attach themselves to the human body, or appear in various shapes.
These demons all have one characteristic, they are all arrogant and believe that they have attained supreme enlightenment.Another characteristic is that it does not keep the precepts and praises lust.Therefore, one of our criteria for distinguishing between evil and righteousness is to see whether he truly keeps the precepts!Those who appear in the devil do not keep the precepts and break the Buddhist rules.This is a demon who wants to be yin.
The ten kinds of demons of the yin of the form belong to the realm, and are called the inner demon (the inner demon appears);The demons that receive Yin and think Yin belong to the demons and come from outside;The ten kinds of demons of Xingyin and Consciousness are the demons of view and view.This is all very troublesome.These demons can damage and kill the Dharma body and wisdom life of the practitioner.
Therefore, we must have a plain mind when practicing.The ancients said: It is better not to realize it for a thousand days than to be possessed by a demon for a day.Once you are possessed by the demon, it will be very troublesome.We must have correct knowledge and views, and we must have self-knowledge. We must know that when practicing in the Dharma-Ending Age, there will be great temptations outside, very scattered inside, and deep troubles.
We must recite the Buddha’s name honestly to seek rebirth in the Pure Land. We must not be enlightened, see, or attain anything at the beginning. We only require one to be reborn with karma, which is amazing!
Some people say that retreat is to at least reach the level of the Buddha who realizes the level of enlightenment.When I heard it suddenly, it was an idealistic color and was also worthy of admiration.But what is the situation of partial enlightenment as Buddha?Even Master Zhizhe or Master Huiyi cannot achieve it.Just a few years after you have been closed, you want to achieve points and realize Buddha?If you are too ambitious, you will really have trouble.But people in the world are easily induced by these.Many people like to ask: Ah, how are you doing now when you practice?Have you been enlightened?Did you get any results?
A group of entrepreneurs from Shanghai came before, and in the end, someone seemed to have been plucked up a lot of courage and asked: Oh, Master, I have a question, I don’t know if I should ask?I said: No problem, please ask.I wonder if you are enlightened now?I said: I am not enlightened, just like you.
He regards enlightenment as important.There is someone next to me who said: Now there is an enlightenment and anxiety syndrome that you must be enlightened as soon as you study Buddhism!If a practitioner cannot withstand these temptations and feels that if he is enlightened and gains something, he will be able to gain fame, fortune and gain, so I have to pretend to behave, so he may make a big lie.
So we must have self-knowledge!In this era, if you can really keep the precepts, recite the Buddha's name honestly, and seek rebirth in the Pure Land, you will be an amazing practitioner.
If some people are indeed diligent and brave, they will easily have problems of one kind or another, especially during meditation.Therefore, Master Lianchi was very compassionate in citing the fifty kinds of yin demons published in the "Lingyun Sutra" to tell us that there are many difficulties in practicing the Dharma-Ending Age.
When practitioners practice meditation and truth and delusion intersect, various illusions will appear.Don't be afraid when these realms appear.Because only by practicing with kung fu can one become possessed by demons;When you don’t have kung fu, the demon doesn’t care about you!As long as you can be free from attachment or distinction to these realms, and be able to observe emptiness, it is a good realm.
If you appear in this state, you think you have already achieved the realm of a saint. Whether it is the inner demon or the outer demon, you will immediately take advantage of the situation and control you and will be subject to the evil.Originally, when practicing, I wanted to seek liberation and liberation, but if the right view was a little bit deteriorated, the evil demons would become fierce. Not only did they not get liberation, they would sink and fall.
This has also happened a lot.Let’s give an example of Qigong (because many Qigongs also practice meditation, but they are not ultimate, and their methods and goals are not correct). In the 1990s, there was a qigong fever, and many people became obsessed with it and were sent to a mental hospital.At that time, there was a foreign scholar who was originally here to study other problems. Later, he found that there were many people who had problems practicing qigong. So he made a special topic and went to the mental hospital to learn about it: How did you get mentally ill?What kind of qigong practice did you do?I also wrote this book specifically.You see, it’s okay if you don’t practice qigong, but you go to the mental hospital after practicing.
Why does this phenomenon occur?Because some qigong masters say that you can gain the five eyes and six powers when practicing qigong.The eyewitness has the functions of perspective and remote viewing;Ears can hear this and that;They can also pick up objects from a distance and take things from afar. They even said, "Where do I get angry, you can pick me up at the same time from all over the country!"Everyone was there to shake their heads and receive their anger.It specializes in supernatural powers, which caters to some people's greed mentality. Once they pursue it, problems will arise.
And this demon can know what you are thinking and can satisfy you according to your heart.If you want to travel, it can take you to see other places, with unlimited scenery.These demonic realms that appear in samadhi, especially when the realm of seeing Buddha and light appears, really makes it difficult for many people to penetrate and will make it very difficult for them to penetrate, because they are too special.
Because the above-mentioned obstacles may occur during the practice process, those with shallow acumen think that if they do not practice Taoism, they are still like a normal person, and they become strange when they practice, so they are afraid of practicing Taoism and do not learn Taoism.
So in this era, we really need to read some scriptures about fifty kinds of evil demons like the "Lingyun Sutra" to understand how the path of self-cultivation of meditation is full of dangers.
