Why study Buddhism and believe in Buddhism?

Why believe in Buddhism?

The purpose of believing in Buddhism is just like engaging in any other industry. No matter what we do, say, think..., the purpose of everything is to: how to relieve pain; How can we grow happiness? On this question.

So, the purpose of studying Buddhism and believing in Buddhism is to relieve pain and to increase happiness.

In a simple sense, letting yourself reduce a little pain and increase a little happiness. If we look at it deeper, we will eliminate all pain and causes of pain!Have all the happiness and happiness! With this purpose, we must believe in Buddhism and learn Buddhism.

Can belief in Buddhism really relieve pain?

Some people will have questions and say, “Can you really relieve pain by believing in Buddhism? Can it really make people grow happy?"I said, "Yes!Buddhism can indeed relieve pain and increase happiness.”

  Why?

Because Buddhism has very philosophical, very scientific, very practical, correct methods to relieve pain and methods to increase happiness. This method, comparing any other method to relieve pain and increase happiness, must be more thorough, more correct and more ultimate!

Therefore, studying Buddhism and believing in Buddhism can indeed relieve pain and increase happiness. Therefore, we must believe in Buddhism.

Then someone will ask us: "If Buddhism has any way to relieve your pain, and what ways to increase your happiness?"In fact, more than 2,520 years ago, the Buddha Shakyamuni came to Vajra Si (forty-nine days after attaining the supreme Bodhi fruit) under the Bodhi Vajra Tree in India. Varanasi), The Buddha turned the Dharma wheel for the first time, and when he first preached, there were only five monks, namely the first five disciples of Chen Ru and other Buddhas.

At that time, the Buddha talked about a very simple and profound Dharma. That is the Four Noble Truths. What are the Four Noble Truths? There is a saying in the Heart Sutra that everyone is familiar with: "no suffering, accumulation, extinction, and path". The first Dharma that the Buddha talked about was the Four Noble Truths of "suffering, accumulation, extinction, and path".

What did the Buddha say at that time?He said, "All monks should know that suffering should be eliminated, attained enlightenment, and entered the path."

After the Buddha attained the Buddha's fruit on April 15, when he was thirty-six, forty-five days, he talked about the Four Noble Truths of "suffering, accumulation, extinction, and path".From then on, until his death, he preached the Dharma for a total of 46 years.Turned the Dharma wheel three times.

However, whether it is the first rotation of the Dharma wheel, the second rotation of the Dharma wheel, or the third rotation of the Dharma wheel;Whether it is the teachings of the Hinayana, the teachings of the Mahayana exoteric school, or the teachings of the Tantric school, they are inseparable from the four truths of "suffering, accumulation, extinction, and path" mentioned in the first time. So, today I say that Buddhism uses these four words to relieve pain and increase happiness!

As I just said, "You should know that suffering should be eliminated, achieve enlightenment, and enter the Tao."So what kind of suffering does Buddhism relieve and what happiness does it increase?Shakyamuni Buddha taught two Dharmas. One is worldly law, and the other is transcendental law. Therefore, through the practice of worldly dharma, you can temporarily or presently obtain happiness from human and heavenly beings.Through the practice of transcendental Dharma, you can completely escape the suffering of reincarnation and reach the Bodhi fruit of permanent happiness and the cause of happiness. Therefore, Bodhisattva Nagarjuna gave a very important introduction to King Baoxing in the "Treasure Garland", and he said:

“The master will improve the Dharma, and the younger generation will determine goodness.

From the enlightenment of life, this life determines goodness.

The higher the level of rebirth, and the concentration and goodness are liberation.”

What did he mean?He said that if a person practices Buddhism, then first of all, he should practice the Dharma of "increasing rebirth".What is the Dharma of "increasing birth"?It is worldly law. Then you should practice "decisive goodness", which is the transcendental Dharma. So what kind of suffering can one get rid of the worldly Dharma of “increasing birth” and what kind of happiness can one get out of?The answer is that it can eliminate all diseases, disasters, obstacles and other kinds of disasters in this life, so that people can enjoy wealth, blessings, longevity, wealth, wisdom and compassion in this life, such a life enjoyment. Not only that, it can also prevent you from falling into the suffering of the three evil realms of hell, hungry ghosts, and animals in the next life, allowing you to continue to enjoy the happiness of human and heavenly beings. Therefore, it is said that "growing up and rebirth is bliss."
