First of all, I wish you a happy New Year, great fortune, elimination of disasters and prolong life!At the beginning, we have to do this, and say a few words about the new atmosphere of the New Year.But the most important thing for us to study Buddhism is to practice.The "Lingyun Sutra" says: You must practice with your true heart so that you can speed up.If you practice with a delusional mind, you will not be able to achieve success in hundreds of thousands of kalpas.If we can’t use sincerity, we will learn to be honest.
Our final goal is to the Pure Land.I said that I would be reborn in the Pure Land, it is very simple to say, and it is very difficult to say.The problem lies in our hearts.We have a Bodhisattva from the environmental protection group here, a female Bodhisattva, who is 61 years old.After the establishment of the Manjushri Lecture Hall, she went in and out here.What to do in this place?Do a place to clean the toilet.This old Bodhisattva has a great advantage, which is to clean the room, and then silently. I don’t know what others say, I don’t know, I don’t know, she is like this.Her mouth When you close your mouth, the fly will never fly in;When you don’t speak, evil karma cannot pose a threat to you.This is a certain truth. This old Bodhisattva is like this.When you recite the Buddha's name, you will do your work again, and you will be silent.She was not studying for a doctorate, nor was she a master of great monks, great masters, and was not giving tens of millions of dollars, and nothing was left.Two days before she was about to pass away, the Bodhisattva came to tell her: In the next two days, I will come to pick you up.As a result, after two days, the other one passed away first.Someone called her and said: Bodhisattva, Bodhisattva, please help me chant.She said: I feel uncomfortable today and I can’t go out.As a result, she was diagnosed with myocardial infarction in the afternoon and passed away soon.Teacher Mai was the first to come and help her chant Buddha's name.Everyone who goes there praises me, his face is kind and good, and his face looks better than when he was alive.There is even more incredible that two or three days after she passed away, her neighbors heard the sound of chanting Buddha's name, chanting Amitabha Buddha's voice, and kept chanting Buddha's name, and they were all thinking: Where did the Buddha's name come from?I kept searching and searching, and found her home. No one in her home chanted the Buddha's name, but there was a sound of the Buddha's name.Sixty-one years old!I'm fifty-one years old.I am fifty-one this year, and this year is a bad year for me and it is not easy to have.It's not easy to spend the past six months.It's the beginning of the year now, and good luck is coming.
The purpose of talking about this cause and condition is to let everyone understand: Don’t think that rebirth in the Pure Land is a very difficult thing, very simple.The question is, can your heart control it?Therefore, the scriptures say: Those who enjoy speaking have no time to be liberated.Those who enjoy speaking, like to speak every day, like to speak very much, take speech as their profession, and enjoy speaking as their enjoyment, and regard right and wrong as their lives, their lives are wasted in that place, and one day they will regret it.Why?Because he has no time to practice.When he saw others rebirth in the Pure Land one by one and had auspicious signs, he began to regret: Why did I do these things at that time?It's too late.But today we came to Manjushri Lecture Hall, and it was still time.
Everyone is still healthy and knows how to worship the Three Thousand Buddhas.In such a short time, you can eliminate infinite sins.If you recite the Buddha's name, you will have infinite merits;If you worship Buddha, sin will destroy the sand of the river.Now I want to ask you: What does this sentence just now mean?The merits of reciting the Buddha's name are immeasurable, and the sins of worship are eliminated.I would like to ask you: How many Buddhas have you worshiped?How many Buddhas have you recited?Why don’t you feel any merit?Why?Listen carefully!Practicing with consciousness is called blessings. Blessings are called consciousness, discriminating mind, attachment mind, high and low mind, right and wrong mind.If you are willing to give, you cannot get rid of right and wrong or grudges. Even if you do give, you cannot change your thoughts. This is a blessing from human and heavenly beings, and this is called blessing.Merits are different, but merits are not like this.
The merits of reciting the Buddha's name are immeasurable, and this is to focus on one's own nature.Self-nature means that the mind is neither born nor destroyed, the mind does not increase nor decrease, the mind does not come or go, neither one nor different.All minds remain the same as Buddha's mind.Giving is not for the gratitude of others, but for the purpose of breaking our greed.We understand this concept, use great wisdom to keep precepts, use great wisdom to endure humiliation, use great wisdom to improve, use great wisdom to give, and use great wisdom to practice meditation.Similarly, we must also use great wisdom to chant Buddha's name.You must use your pure self-nature, so that if you recite the Buddha, you will understand your true nature and your true nature will be complete.The heart without worries is called nature.The heart without attachment, reversal, and distinction is called nature.Simply put, he can let go of all his fate, just let go.All of them can be let go, this heart is like a Mani orb, and will not be polluted.No matter what you say, you will not be contaminated;No matter how good you say, I will remain unmoved.Losing ten million, he was awakened until dawn;After winning a million or lottery, he also sleeps until dawn and won the morning.Why?This kind of world is all about birth and death, and all the things you attach to are reversed.Therefore, it is called chanting Buddha’s name with infinite merit.It is necessary to change your thoughts and think from the pure nature and Buddha nature. That thought is the true thought.Otherwise, you have been chanting for a long time, one year, two years, three years, five years, ten years, and you have been chanting for a long time. You have no merits to say until you are still worried and troubled.That is to practice with delusional mind, not with nature.If you practice with your nature, no one can affect you, and no one can say anything can affect you.
This is how the Buddha’s heart looks like.Always be compassion, always equality, always emptiness.Absolute emptiness.It is always in line with the ultimate truth.All cultivation for sentient beings is called skillful convenience, and the present is the reality.Don’t leave the present, never leave the skillful and convenient.All skillful and convenient things are external appearances, and the outside is the reality, without high heels and low things.High heels and low are all distinguished from our hearts.So don’t blame others for your worries, blame yourself for not having enough kung fu.
So, like this old Bodhisattva, what is her education?Did she give 10 million to the lecture hall or to me?No, nothing.She only had the intention to clean up the toilet.The second point is silent.The third point is that when you die, you will be reborn at your own risk, and the Bodhisattva will come to take you to guide you.Everyone here, do you envy this?Envy is simple, just do it like this.If you feel that you are not enlightened, you do not have great wisdom, you do not turn the Dharma wheel, and you do not do any merits. It’s very simple: if you have any work in the lecture hall, you should make a mind and practice with your sincere heart.
If you worship Buddha, sin will destroy the sand of the river.Why worship Buddha?Once you worship the Buddha, you will chant the Buddha with your mouth, visualize the Buddha with your mind, and worship the Buddha with your body, and your body, mouth, and mind are absolutely pure.If you keep going like this, it will correspond to your nature.Correspond to nature, the nature of Amitabha Buddha corresponds to my nature.There is no karma in nature.In this way, one worships the Buddha, sins will be destroyed.Why does sin destroy the sand of the river?The three secrets are when the body, mouth and mind correspond.At the corresponding time, there is no karma or any troubles in the nature (river sand refers to troubles), and countless troubles will be gone.If an ordinary person cannot do this, just worship with a pious heart first.Don’t worry about other people’s affairs, keep your life and death well.Buddha tells us: If you study and do not interfere with others, you will gradually be liberated.Learn not to interfere with others.I just want to change others all day long, and it will be very painful to live.
Finally, let’s talk about this cause and condition, and we must tell you that practice is a principle, and another important thing is determination and courage.Be brave, there are absolutely no difficulties in rebirth.Of course it will be difficult if you don’t do it;Doing this way is very simple.A pure mind, a pure speech, and a pure consciousness will not affect you.You won’t be happy if anyone says good things, and you won’t be worried if you say bad things. This is how this heart is.A normal mind is the Tao, use this mind to practice.
When we come to this place during the Chinese New Year, we have to do the same job, that is, protect the Dharma.How to protect the Dharma?For example, we have light and pull-out.If we take out the money to light the lamp and pull the radius, it will be the same as protecting the Dharma and protecting the Three Jewels.So every year when I return to this place, I encourage everyone to light the lamp, encourage everyone to save their ancestors, or to save their enemies, relatives and creditors.Because I have calculated it for everyone, how much is a day?Five yuan, five yuan a day.Three hundred and sixty days add up to about 1,800 yuan, so everyone can do it.What the master wants is your heart, not your money.Today, if you have this kind of mind, it will correspond to the Buddha.Today you have no attachment to giving alms. You will be happy to protect the Three Jewels, the lecture halls, the Buddhas, the Dharma and the Sangha, the Dharma and the Dharma, and the Dharma and the Dharma wheel. You will be happy.
Some people said: Master, I saw you on the Dharma Realm Satellite TV station, why is there no more now?In 101 units.Many people can't press the 101 unit, and I can't press it myself. No matter how hard I press it, it's 10, and 101 cannot be pressed.Yesterday, Grandpa Liao Mingxin came.Liao Mingxin also pressed it for two days, but he couldn't even press it for 101, and finally his son taught him.Grandpa Liao taught me yesterday because I couldn't press it.I will teach you how to press it now. When you go back, there will be satellites in the Dharma Realm to see.Press 100 first, the speed should be fast, then press 0, then press 1, then press 1.The TV station is on 101, will you press it when you go back like this?Otherwise you won't be able to press it.1,100,0,1, this way.Speed is fast.I pressed too slowly to jump out.The speed should be fast, 1,100, 0, 1, that's the right way.Otherwise, it would not be able to be pressed. There are satellites in the Dharma Realm, but they could not be pressed for several days.When I get old, I have no choice but to lose to the child.
Finally, due to time, I have a relationship with everyone.Today during the Chinese New Year, I wore a yellow dress, which looked better. I sat there in a clean place, so everyone came to pay New Year's greetings and offering red envelopes.You must be polite when offering red envelopes.First, when I was holding the red envelope, an old Bodhisattva bowed like this. When she bowed, I reached out to get it.She bowed and came up again: I wish Master good health!I didn't give me the red envelope, so I bowed again.I reached out my hand, but I didn't get it.I hope a happy new year!She bowed again, and then got up again.The hand stretched out again, but it didn't get it.Why has it been so difficult to collect a red envelope for so long?As a mage, I feel embarrassed to always stretch my hand there.Some people paid far away: Happy New Year to Master!Very far away.I said: You are so far away, how can you get the red envelope?Right?I have paid so far, how can I receive red envelopes?You have to follow the rules when bowing to the master, but the speed should be faster and there are many people.
You must worship the Three Thousand Buddhas in these three days and recite them loudly. The merits of the three thousand Buddhas will be immeasurable, and sins will be eliminated.Remember: Use your nature to practice, and do not affect all realms. This is the real person who practices.Practice is just a principle.You must always remember the example of this old Bodhisattva’s rebirth.She is not very literate, has not read a lot of books, has no money, and is not a great master, and has nothing.He is just an ordinary person, and he has passed away.What's more, we still have some breath to fight and still have time to fight today, right?What are the difficulties in rebirth?No difficulties!

There are two merit boxes there, which are to be offered to the monks.Because I have already collected it, they will accept it.If you have the intention to offer to the monks, put it there. This is the first point.
The second point is that the truth is in one thought.We start the first day of the junior high school and the third day of the junior high school. There is a beginning and an end, and there is life and death.In this world and the universe, when you take a spaceship to outer space, no matter how you observe or find the truth, you will never be able to leave the Buddha's dependent origination method.Truth is the law of dependent origination and cause and condition that is everywhere in all directions.So, from birth to death, what attitude should we use to live our lives now?The Buddha's heart is wisdom and compassion. Behind the compassion, there must be a wise heart.
Why do we sentient beings have a barrier between us and Buddha?It's just that I'm slow.Simply put, it means that you think it is very good, so no matter whether you are good or the Buddha, you will not listen to it.First, we must feel that we are the most useless people in the world. With a humble heart, we will respect every sentient being and every master and do it according to the law.Since we use wisdom and compassion to deal with things, what should we do to achieve success?Now let’s give an example to see how the Buddha dealt with it.
When the Buddha was alive, there was a monk who drank very seriously before he became a monk. He was drunk every day and fell to the ground without awakening.When he heard the Dharma and saw the Three Jewels of the Sangha, he became happy and determined to become a monk.Because he was very serious in a layman's drinking and was already poisoned by alcohol, he would tremble when he meditated after becoming a monk, and he would have to beg for his responsibilities but could not leave. His whole body was soft and cotton.Because after becoming a monk, he had to quit drinking, the monks in the monastic community looked down on him. That feeling, alas.Some people say, how could the Buddha make him become a monk?Thinking about it again, we will not be more wise than the Buddha.He has no way to practice, no way to meditate, no way to sleep, because he has not drunk alcohol and has no way to practice.I started to tremble and symptoms of alcoholism.Among them, because no one dares to violate the Buddha's precepts of drinking, he does not dare to make a fortune.After a period of time, his pain slowly spread to the Buddha's ears.In fact, Shakyamuni Buddha has great supernatural powers and great wisdom. How could he not know that he is waiting for causes and conditions.When the cause and condition came, he called the alcoholic poisoning person who was very serious in the lay people.He said: Now I will tell you how much do you drink a day?He said he drank three bottles a day (this is a metaphor, which is not written so clearly in the scriptures. He said that he drank three bottles a day to describe drunk every day).The Buddha told him: You are drinking three bottles a day now, and after half a month (India often calculates in half a month), you should reduce it a little, and your mind should visualize that this is not wine, but medicine, because you want to cure this disease.To cure this disease, you can continue to drink alcohol and drink it as medicine.You have to reduce it every half month, and you have to reduce it, and keep reducing it.When you drink, you should avoid sentient beings, because sentient beings cannot accept this concept.In this way, he hid in a remote place to relieve alcohol and poison.If you quit it all at once, you will die, so he will slowly reduce it.Three bottles, two and a half bottles after half a month, and two bottles remain after half a month.Slowly, slowly, after another month or two months, there is only one and a half bottles left.This keeps reducing. After a period of time, the alcohol poisons slowly remove it, and his demand becomes less and less. He begins to practice, his mind begins to be calm, and he begins to be calm.The Buddha called him again and told him how to practice, practice the Anapa chanting method, and practice the contemplation of counting breaths.Count the breath, observe the in and out, length, and the mind understand the subtle outgoing and following, etc.Practice, practice and attain the Arhat fruit!There is another Arhat.
If this person who drinks alcohol poisoning is born today, even if he becomes a monk, he will die today. He will not be able to live or attain the Arhat fruit. If sentient beings attack, he will die.How could he accept your concept of drinking?That's impossible.But the Buddha is so powerful. He doesn't look at the shortcomings of the sentient beings in front of him, and thinks that there is no hope that he will not be like this in the future.The power of Buddha lies in his foresight, his vision, and his understanding of the habits of sentient beings.All sentient beings like to be optimistic about the habits. If you look at this appearance, you should use what you see in front of you. He has no idea what the saint is doing.So he became a monk in Buddhism today. If this drinking person was born in today's era, he would be done.How can these monks and novice monks accept this kind of thing?After becoming a monk, I could never accept the idea that drinking alcohol every day and drinking three or four bottles at a time.The media will write and report it again. How does this person practice?Just annoy him, he will die.Therefore, the Buddha's power is that he has great wisdom behind compassion. He should deal with everything slowly, use patience and compassion, and use great wisdom afterwards. If the goal remains unchanged, I want to quit your alcohol and let you follow the law and eliminate troubles and achieve the Arhat fruit.The Buddha's goals have absolutely not changed, but the method is so powerful.He has a way to be so powerful, otherwise you can think about it, how can he accept it if the Buddha allows his disciples to drink?He is so powerful, so great that he is so compassionate and so wise.
Then again, how should we live in our lives?That is to say: give people hope and convenience.Don’t talk about the shortcomings of all sentient beings or see them.Because as long as he is a sentient being, he has absolutely shortcomings unless he is a saint.At present, about this saint, the reporter came to visit me and said: Like Shakyamuni Buddha is a saint, the ancestor is a saint, what about modern saints?I say that all the saints in modern times have been killed by the media.Why?He wants to do everything perfect.Today, if Shakyamuni Buddha was born in this world, today two thousand or hundreds of years later, there were no one who would know how to attack him, newspapers, and television.Therefore, we understand that in this world, there is darkness, there is right and wrong, there is right and wrong, there is right and wrong, and there is advantage and disadvantage.This is called the norm in the world.Therefore, we must see the normal state of this world and look at it with a normal mind, without panic.Practice is to subdue oneself and look at one's own shortcomings in twenty-four hours.
We just gave the example to everyone, to let everyone understand: when the Buddha was dealing with things, he did not look at the front of him, nor did he look at the angle, nor did he look at the present few days, nor did he look at the person who has habits and shortcomings, so the Buddha gave up on him.When the Buddha was alive, there was a monk who had a very strong lust, so he could not practice. He thought of that kind of thing whenever he thought and thought, and he could not practice.Some of the monks laughed: How can you become a monk with such a strong lust?This monk retreated from the mind of Taoism. When he retreated from the mind of Taoism, he did not want to practice all day because others thought that he just couldn't achieve it. His mind was in the concept of dirty and impure all day long.There is no way to practice, so he is despised by the whole and is not recognized.His people live meaninglessly, and no one pays attention to him when he becomes a monk and practices.He is in a remote place, crying sadly every day, and does not practice.The news spread slowly and reached the Buddha's ears. In fact, the Buddha had known for a long time. He concentrated on the monks when he needed to preach the Buddha and praised him in public (the monks looked down on him, but the Buddha said the opposite): This person is really not simple. He has such a strong lust, and he still has the ability to become a monk and to eliminate lust. This is a very amazing man.How heavy is his lust?It’s so much that I have to use tools to cut off the male root.The Buddha said: If you want to cut off that place, it is better to cut off this heart.Which place you want to cut off will work?If there is a way to achieve success if there is a way to remove that place, each one will be taken for surgery.Everyone was taken to undergo surgery, and everyone had Arhat fruit. If they had Arhat fruit, there would be no men, right?This is not the solution, right?It is more important to cut off lust. How can we cut off the male root?So the precepts say so.The monk looked down on him, and the Buddha praised and encouraged him in front of the public. After hearing the Buddha's praise, he cheered up again.The Buddha taught him to observe impurity, to see the sadness, to shed tears, to have colds, to have nose, stomachache and diarrhea, to visualize impurity of defecation and the nine holes flowing;Then he taught him to observe the white bones, that is, after death, the whole thing is covered with white bones, and the powder is ground into powder and there is nothing left when the wind blows.So our thoughts today are that no matter whether we see a beautiful woman or a handsome man, we have never been able to control ourselves. This is just a mentality and habit. As long as we give him time, the Buddha will give him time to start training his heart.With the encouragement of the Buddha, we practice and attain the Arhat fruit!The Buddha is so extraordinary in this world!
Let’s talk about this example to everyone understand how Buddha treats sentient beings.He will definitely give you a chance and will definitely give you hope.He will not deny all your value today at once, make your life feel negative and make people feel completely hopeless, and will not be like this.So, in this group of monks, I shave hundreds of disciples. If the disciples have a dispute or lose their temper, no matter what, I will tell them: It is inevitable that ordinary people are there, and they cannot be saints.Let us give these two examples. People who are despised by ordinary people, those who drink and those who are very lustful are not good in ordinary people's eyes, but Buddha's eyes are all good.Buddha gives you opportunities, hope, skillful and convenient methods to tell you.Of course, this is how the Buddha is in this world. If the Buddha is not in the world, we follow the Dharma and not the others.From these two examples, we can understand that the current shortcomings of all sentient beings do not mean that they have no future. This is not the case, they definitely have a future.
Therefore, our Dharma protectors must do the work of protecting the Dharma.The first point is that you cannot slander the Buddha, the Dharma, or the Sangha. The most serious sins are slandering the Buddha, the Dharma, or the Sangha.Why?Because this will eliminate the wisdom life of sentient beings.For example, if this person wants to come to the lecture hall to listen to the sutras and Dharma, and we slander the Buddha, the Dharma, and the monks, the person will retreat from the Taoist mind. As a result, he will lose this cause and condition and he will have faith to recite the Buddha's name. One day he will be reborn in the Pure Land, and there will be another Buddha.Why is it said that slandering Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha Sangha is so serious?The sin of killing parents is not that serious. The sin of slandering Buddha, Dharma, and Slandering Sangha is even heavier than the sin of killing 84,000 parents. Why?Because it will eliminate the wisdom life of sentient beings.It's just so terrible.
We need to get close to the Three Jewels. First, we should not see the shortcomings of our monks, nor should we look at the shortcomings of fellow practitioners, nor should we look at them or talk about them.The most important thing for us all day is to cultivate our own nature and cultivate it.Our mind is pure and will naturally correspond to the Pure Land.Otherwise, you will be very busy all day, busy with this right and wrong today, and busy with that right and wrong tomorrow, you will be so busy that you have no value and will be revolving around right and wrong all your life.Today we are busy and endure hardships, and we must be valuable, that is, we must be reborn in the Pure Land, so that it will be meaningful.It will only make sense for us to worship Buddha today if we use the Buddha's heart, the compassion and skill.For example, if you come here to worship for only one day today, then you will go out and start creating karma for three hundred and sixty-five days;Do the merits of one day and create karma for the remaining 365 days. How can you make up for it?Some people say: It’s different. I’ll pay my respects to three days to last until the end of the year.It's useless, the merit is not that great.You have committed such a serious sin, how can you last until the end of the year, right?So we must understand the law.
To give this example, it is about how the Buddha handles things. The Buddha insists on giving sentient beings hope, take it slowly and be patient.All the obstacles to our practice today are not given to you by others. They are all stuck in our hearts, lack of cultivation, insufficient tolerance, insufficient wisdom, and inability to tolerate other people's shortcomings.Other people’s shortcomings have nothing to do with our life and death.For example, if I am going to die today, I would like to ask you: What does other people’s good or bad have to do with us?For example, if you are going to be arrested and shot tonight, what is the meaning of which one is right or which one is wrong?What is the meaning of others’ right or wrong?For example, if you are going to die tomorrow, people in the world say that if you are in the New Year, don’t say that you are dead. Let me tell you, Buddhists should fully understand death. What kind of work do you want to do now?Of course, I have been chanting Amitabha Buddha desperately, so I don’t have time to say whether it is right or wrong, it is too late.So the Buddha taught us: Don’t waste your life, where you will definitely regret it.Never waste time and life, because one day you will regret it.It means: Don’t invest your time and life in places where you will definitely regret it;Invest in a place where you will be free.
We must uphold our faith, rely on the Buddha's Dharma, observe all dharmas impermanence, and understand emptiness.Take this habit step by step and step by step.After we worship the Three Thousand Buddhas today, we will turn this thought into wisdom, slowly eliminate this habit and this affliction, so that it will be meaningful.When you come next year, you will see you full of spring breeze, live happily and transcendently, so it will be meaningful for you to worship three thousand Buddhas.Otherwise, you come and worship the three thousand Buddhas, bow down and get up, bow down and get up, the Dharma will not enter the mind, the troubles will not be eliminated, and the habits will not be eliminated.What is it like to worship Buddha like this?It is called exercise, it just makes him sweat and plant some good roots.If you cannot enter the Dharma, you will have heavy troubles, attachments, and minds of right and wrong. You will be confused by the mind of right and wrong all day long and will not let go bravely.The rest is very comfortable, and the rest is our business.
Let go of unnecessary external things, and then deal with things inside us.To deal with our inner things, we need twenty-four hours to observe impermanence.For example, if you are very rich today, you need to understand that you will not be rich forever;For example, if you are very beautiful today, you will not be beautiful forever;One day you will be as fifty as me.Another fifty or one hundred years old is no possibility, right?It is very difficult to live to be eighty like a teacher's mother.(I used to be a scavenger, and I always did it.) It is difficult for people today to live to be eighty.Therefore, we observe impermanence for twenty-four hours and subdue our own troubles.This list is the most important.
