The origin of Qiyun Pagoda of White Horse Temple, the identification of saints_ learning Buddhism sharing

For understandingWhite Horse TempleThe information collected was briefly summarized by searching the Internet. When sorting out the information, a question arises: when the picture of the White Horse Temple is displayed on Baidu, there is a relics pagoda in it, but this tower cannot be found in the panorama of the White Horse Temple, so is the relics pagoda on the picture the tower of the White Horse Temple?

With this question, I checked the original text of the picture publisher, and they all seemed to logically attribute the tower to the White Horse Temple, but there was no written explanation. I had to search for the White Horse Temple Tower, and finally found the exact answer, it turned out that the relics of the White Horse Temple were called Qiyun Pagoda, about 200 meters southeast of the White Horse Temple Mountain Gate in Luoyang.

Qiyun Pagoda is called Shakya Relic Pagoda, Golden Square Pagoda, White Horse Temple Tower, Eastern Han Dynasty Yongping Ji Si year (AD 69), Emperor Ming of Han Dynasty built a pagoda, Qiruo Yuezhi, called Qiyun. The existing brick tower was rebuilt in the fifteenth year of Jin Dading (1175 AD).

White Horse Temple, Qiyun Pagoda

This incident reminds me of Nan Wuqiang Buddha's bookPhilosophy of the world"The way of life is enlightened, and the practice of frustration is realized, and the solution of everything must be experienced in person. In other words, only the experience we have experienced, seen with our own eyes, and practiced by ourselves is the truth of enlightenment.

Those who go on a field tour and take pictures on their own must know very well that Qiyun Pagoda is there. As a person who has never actually been here, the knowledge I have gained through reading the materials needs to be verified repeatedly and finally come to a conclusion, but this conclusion is only a theoretical conclusion, not my own real experience of being there, and I cannot describe the details. If someone were to ask for directions how to find this tower, obviously I would not be able to tell the detailed path.

The same is true in Buddhism, we see that there are many people on the Internet who are preaching the scriptures and teachings, and some people even publish books that spread all over the world, so are these XX masters actually enlightened? Are they speaking of theories from the scriptures or of the truths they have proven? If they are just ordinary people who count the treasures of others, can we achieve it by following the learning? Obviously, the consequence of blinding the blind is that no one can achieve it, and if you follow the evil masters, you will inevitably fall into the evil path.

If we want to know whether a person has actually been to a certain place, we only need to ask for the details. How to distinguish whether the teacher is a person who has come from the past and has achieved it? In addition to judging whether they are compassionate to sentient beings, whether they are proficient in the scriptures, and whether they strictly adhere to the precepts, we should also look at their actual abilities. As saints who preach, shouldn't they be more intelligent and capable than ordinary people? What have they accomplished in the worldly law? Is it excellent poetry, calligraphy and painting, or is it excellent medical skills? Or design a building that surpasses the world's best experts? Or can you just talk through the fog and stop the strife? …… The achievements in Buddhism should be assessed by the holy quantity of teachers, and those who meet the requirements under the supervision of the seven teachers and ten certificates are the teachers of holy virtue. If you talk about preaching the scriptures and teachings, you need to reach the great holy virtue of more than three stages of the golden buckle to be eligible.

So we must be careful to identify and take128 Evil Views and False KnowledgesSeeing and measuring, take the six holy quantities of teachers to see, who is the real Buddha and Bodhisattva again, who is the Bodhi practitioner who practices like the Dharma, who is the saint who is a saint, who is a deceitful demon, do not mistakenly cast the time of your life into the water, and even more mistaken and multi-life wisdom.

The above is a personal opinion. All correct knowledge and correct views take the Buddha's own Dharma and Buddhist books as the highest standard and fundamental guide for learning and practice! Follow the precepts of Shakyamuni Buddha!
