《The Great Prajna Sutra says: It is also a rare book and a virtue book.That is, the root of all good deeds.A monk knows goodness and good roots, which means achieving enlightenment and obtaining correct views, gaining undestructive and pure Dharma, and entering into the correct Dharma.The three bodies of good roots are called the three good roots.The bad roots are greed, anger, ignorance, etc., which are called the three bad roots, or the three poisons.Good deeds are the root of good results, so they can also be called good roots.

《The three good roots are explained in the Abhidharma Collection of Yimen Zuzu Theory, which says: No greed and good roots are called the five desires, and they are not greedy or attached, and they are not greedy or happy. This non-greed Dharma is the nature of good seeds, which can be the root of infinite good dharmas, so it is called the non-greed and good roots;The second good roots of no anger mean that you do not feel angry at all sentient beings and do not want to lose your anger. This method of no anger is a good seed and can be the root of countless good deeds, so it is called the good roots of no anger;The three unconscious good roots mean that they are clear and wise in all dharmas, know that they are good deeds and are bad deeds, know that they are guilty deeds and know that they are not guilty deeds, know that they should practice the deeds and do not practice the deeds. This unconscious method is a good nature and can be the root of countless good deeds, so it is called the unconscious good roots.
