If you say that others are superstitious, you are superstitious.For example, now is the scientific era, and many people always say that you are unscientific.You have to ask him which science he learns?Haven't learned it.Then what science do you know?This kind of person is not superstitious, it means there is an atomic barber shop on the street. He told you not to go in and be careful of the explosion!Does he understand atoms?What is an atom?This is someone who follows the superstition of science.Of course, there are also superstitious religions. Open a Bodhi shop to sell Paramita. What is Bodhi?Is paramita a pineapple?
Therefore, religion is called faith, which itself may be superstitious;But if people don’t believe in it, they may not be superstitious.These are not faith in Buddhism. Buddhism asks us to seek true faith.
What is true faith?It's hard to say.For example, there is a cup of tea here. I took a sip and told you it’s very hot. If you believe it, it’s superstitious because you haven’t drunk it!Why did I cheat me if I haven’t drunk it!This is not true faith.
What is true faith?I said that this cup of tea is very hot, and you must get it yourself and drink it. It is said that it is hot. At this time, it is called true faith.Therefore, true faith must be proved and verified. Before it is proved, it is not true faith.
Also, faith means believing in this truth, where the truth lies.For example, taking Buddhism as an example, "the mind is the Buddha." When you look at the Mahayana and Hinayana sutras, you will have this truth and this sentence.
Can most people who study Buddhism trust their own hearts?For example, when talking about Chinese literature, it was mentioned that a famous poet monk Guan Xiu of the Tang Dynasty had two lines of poetry: "There is only a snap of my fingers when meeting Zen guests. How many people know about this heart?”
On the surface, it looked like an enlightened poem, but he went to see a great and virtuous teacher who was enlightened at that time.Those who have realized the Tao must be liberation, and the words are naturally very clear.The great good teacher said, "You write very well, and I ask you, "How many people can know this heart?""What's this mind?This mind is Buddha, how is your mind?Guan Xiu can't answer it anymore!If you just play with words, you will not be truly enlightened or truly attained, and you will not be able to answer it is an obstacle!The Zen master said, ask me as you said.Guan Xiu said: "What does the master have in this mind?"The Zen master replied: "How many people can know!"You slapped him in the face as he said it!If you meet a great Zen master or enlightened person, you will educate you in this way. This is the right to "open power and reveal reality". Buddhism education is right at will.
Believe in the right faith, and truly be true and true.There is a saying in the Buddha in the Avatamsaka Sutra, "Faith is the mother of merits in the origin of the Tao." Faith is the most important.It is equivalent to being a person or doing a career, and if you have no confidence in yourself and your career, you will collapse!If a person lives without confidence in himself, he can die immediately, many facts in modern psychology can prove it.Therefore, visiting a sick friend, especially in critical illness, should strengthen his confidence.There are many examples like me. I said you will definitely be well and live. Maybe he is a little superstitious about me, and listening to me is more useful. I said I saw you live a long life, and you have at least twenty years of life. If you have confidence, live, and the result will be really good.If you see him with snot and tears, how can you get this disease... Then didn't you curse him to die early?This defeated his confidence!The power of life depends on the confidence, so pay attention!Ordinary people need faith, and those who study Buddhism must be more confident.Whether you study Buddhism, even chant Buddha's name or practice Zen, why don't you start working hard?To be honest, if you don’t have faith, while Amitabha Buddha, you wonder in your heart whether you can practice well?Many people came to tell me, "Teacher!You teach me, but I'm afraid I can't do it!"I'm so angry!Since you can't do it, why come to me!Isn’t that taking my time and joking about me!It is certain that you can find me. Why do people have so little confidence in themselves? While chanting Buddha's name, they wonder whether there is a Western Paradise?I don’t know if I will be reborn when I die?Did Amitabha Buddha give him the entry certificate?not sure!
The first thing to learn Buddhism is faith. Faith is very important. Faith becomes the right faith, and nothing will fail.The opposite side of faith is doubt. Buddhism talks about fundamental afflictions, greed, anger, ignorance, arrogance and doubt.People have the most heart. Doubt this and that, people's doubts will harm their lives. The unsuccessful knowledge, morality, work, and Buddhism are mostly because they lack confidence in themselves.Especially for ordinary people who practice kung fu, they understand the truth and reach the point of view, oh!I don't know if this is right?When talking about emptiness, sometimes thinking about it feels emptiness is good;Sometimes I tremble when I think about it, I am afraid this emptiness is not emptiness!Many people came to ask me, I said, "You are not empty, what is it?"Of course, emptiness has its size. Big emptiness is emptiness, and small emptiness is also emptiness. You have to doubt about emptiness!How stupid do you think you are?I don’t understand this theory, you say I’m too empty.Then you just zoom in, it’s very simple!Buddhism is very simple. The reason why it cannot be proved is that it lacks "faith" and cannot be understood theoretically.The harm of suspicion is great.
Therefore, you must start with "faith" when studying Buddhism. Can you recite the Buddha's name with suspicion and keep your mind undisturbed?It is said that one mind is not confused anymore!If you say that sometimes there are delusions, it doesn’t matter if you want to practice slowly, you will be able to transform!Don't doubt it's easy to go all the way, be confident.I am just afraid that the more young students learn Buddhism, the more they lose their confidence. They are making troubles in the east and west, and this doubt will harm themselves.
Let’s talk about the Dharma again.Most people have the biggest problem - they are curious, and they always think that they will find a teacher to pass on some secrets, secretly talk to them in their ears, and then they will succeed tomorrow!Human beings are born with such a bad nature and have no confidence in themselves.Therefore, there were some educational methods of ancient Zen masters, such as Zen Master Ciming of the Song Dynasty. He was amazing. Those who had realized the Tao had this educational method.Zen Master Ciming even scolded Buddha and ancestors, and his mouth was crooked in his old age!The apprentice said, “Master, it’s embarrassing!"Ci Ming asked: "What's the matter?""The disciple said, "You have been scolding Buddha and ancestors all your life. Now the consequences are coming, and everyone is laughing at you."The Zen master touched his mouth: "Get up!"He just said straight, and he had such great ability.We must have been scared to death now, and we were given injections and medication.A disciple followed Zen Master Ciming for decades and had not been enlightened. Once he said goodbye to him and asked him for leave. The Zen Master asked why?My disciple replied that I would like to realize the truth by following my master to become a monk and study Buddhism. However, after so many years of becoming a monk, my master taught me to do this and that, and I did not preach any Dharma, so I was not enlightened.Ciming said: "You must be enlightened!Come on, I'll tell you."The apprentice focused on his ears and slapped him in the face, and the slap really made the apprentice enlightened!You think he has so much confidence!All my strength is waiting for Master to secretly spread the Dharma. How sincere!When his sincerity reached the extreme, he slapped all his thoughts!He just waited for this moment. This is the Zen education method. It is wonderful to study these Zen educational methods!And the disciple thought that his master wanted to pass on his tantra, was he confused or correct?Let’s take a look!
