The Buddha replied, "Mahali!I do know Indra and I know why he became Indra."The Buddha told Mahali that in one of the previous lives of Indra, who was the king of heaven, was a young man named Maga in Mokhara village.He and his thirty-two companions engage in many social welfare activities, such as paving roads and building public rest houses, and pursue seven obligations throughout his life:

1.Adopt parents;

2.Respect the elders;

3.Meek words;

4.Don't gossip behind your back;

5.Generous and not greedy;

6.Tell the truth;

7.Stay calm.
