Chapter 57: The Magical Power Game, Fun
The Living Buddha also showed his little supernatural powers several times in Yangon, which is also known in the Buddhist community in Yangon and has been praised as a good story. When the Living Buddha first came to Myanmar, because the climate in Myanmar was particularly hot, people living in Myanmar had to take a shower every day (that is, topping it with cold water). One day, the Living Buddha stood by the well in Longhua Temple to take a shower. He took off his pants and put them on the well railing. It was really a clever trick. At this time, a strong wind came, and the only pair of the Living Buddha's pants were blown into the well. Everyone in Longhua Temple went out and helped him fish for a long time, but still didn't catch it.
It sounds very pitiful. The living Buddha is a piece of winter and summer, and only one pants with him. He really has only one piece of clothes and only one pants. The living Buddha is going to make a lantern (only wearing a long gown but not a pants). He was also an old monk who lived with him kindly gave a pair of pants to the living Buddha. He took the pants and said: I'll borrow this pants from you for one or two days, so it's not easy to give to me. I believe that the pants in the well will automatically climb up after one or two days.Everyone laughed.Everyone thinks that if your pants fall into the well, it will not be able to be caught by many people. How can you climb up by yourself? But it was strange that after two days, someone fetched water from the well, and the pants were pulled up with the bucket. Therefore, everyone thinks this is a little magical power played by the living Buddha.
There is another thing that someone will not believe if it says it.It turns out that in Myanmar, a kind of scorpion often appears during the rainy season. This kind of scorpion is both black and large. The big ones are three or four inches long and the small ones are more than two inches long. I am really afraid of people.Because this kind of scorpion is extremely poisonous. If someone is unfortunately bitten by it, it will not only hurt but also have life worries. Therefore, everyone is afraid of scorpion.
One day, a big scorpion suddenly found in Longhua Temple. When everyone heard that a scorpion appeared, they suddenly became panicked. The brave man picked up something and was about to beat him. The timid screamed and jumped under his feet, as if the poisonous scorpion had reached his feet. The Living Buddha was afraid that they would beat the scorpion to death, so they immediately separated everyone in two steps and said loudly: Please don’t beat them, it is my little disciple! As he said that, he walked to the scorpion, squatted down, stretched out his hand affectionately, picked up the scorpion with two fingers, put it in the palm of his hand, and said to the scorpion in his mouth: Little disciple, don’t be afraid, they won’t beat you to death, okay, don’t move, I will take refuge for you, it’s strange that the scorpion was in the palm of the living Buddha’s hand, and the living Buddha then told the scorpion three refuges: take refuge in the Buddha, take refuge in the Dharma, and take refuge in the Sangha;Take refuge in Buddha and never fall into hell;Convert to the law and do not fall into hungry ghosts;Take refuge in the Sangha and do not fall into animals. After reciting the Three Refuges three times, you will hold the scorpion and send it to the grass outside to release it. While putting it on, you said: Little disciple, don’t come out to see people again in the future. If you meet people, your life will be in danger.
We know that among poisonous insects, the most annoying thing. We often say that sinister and vicious humans are the hearts of snakes and scorpions. The scorpion's tail is needled, and as long as someone touches it, you will immediately stab it.But the Living Buddha took the scorpion from the ground and placed it on the palm of the Living Buddha, and it did not move obediently. This can be said to be not the magical power of the living Buddha!
