As usual, after the release ceremony every Sunday, there is always a group of people sitting by the lake in Green Field and listening to the Dharma.Half an hour ago, I saw the old Huang Bodhisattva wearing a black shirt staggering towards me with a crutch. He was husky and a slight voice with a Chaozhou accent, and he was rumored to preach.
The smiling and kind-hearted Bodhisattva Huang, at 11:30 every day, comes to the shore of Green Field Lake without changing the wind and rain, and never stops until 365 days a year.As soon as he opened the conversation, he had a lot of fun talking. There were a lot of stories, like a record of the police and a song of persuasion, which was thought-provoking.We are like treasure hunters. How can we not dig treasures when we enter the treasure mountain? But when we see the elder in front of us, like a practitioner who retired from the world, insisting on hiding our identity, watching life in a cold world, and resolutely refusing to take photos. However, we repeatedly begged for blessings, and as a witness of faith, wishes and practices, we agreed to make an exception.
Drunk ghost, killing ghost confess
Huang Lao Bodhisattva, 74, was born in Chaozhou, China. When he was young, he had no chance to study because of his family's poverty. After coming to the south, he worked as a coolie in a rubber factory. After getting married, he started his business with the support of his wife, and became the first family and passed on his career to his children. When talking about his wife's wisdom, he praised him, just like today, let's release the animals together.
The old Bodhisattva deeply repented when he traced his own cause and condition of studying Buddhism. He was once a Catholic, had no good impression of Buddhism, and even slandered Buddhism. In 1983, he was inspired by his friends to listen to the Dharma. The story of Master Yanshou of the Song Dynasty moved him very much: Master Yanshou of Yongming committed the crime of custody and robbery because he embezzled public funds to release animals and was executed by the King of Wu Yue.When the execution was about to be executed, the master did not have a trace of fear. He smiled: I saved thousands of people with one life, which is worth it, and I have no regrets in this life.As a result, King Wu Yue was pardoned from his death sentence and became a monk.
The old Bodhisattva Huang was so excited that he was stumbled, and his seven emotions climbed up on his rosy face. I suddenly saw his left sleeve with a broken hand... and he kept repenting, as if he had accidentally cut his hand, which was caused by the past killing karma.
With a sigh, he admitted: In the past, everyone called me alcoholic, killing ghost, gambling ghost, and short ghost.from
The Buddha told us that all sentient beings are Buddhas, and all sentient beings can become Buddhas in the six realms of reincarnation.Since it is equal, saving a fish is equivalent to saving a person!
So, isn’t promoting vegetarian food just to release animals? Master Jingkong once taught: Avoid killing and keeping animals, and releasing animals, protecting animals, and releasing animals has the greatest merits, because you are saving all living beings from the butcher’s knife. In fact, who is not killing animals every day? You spray pesticides to kill grass, do you kill ants in the soil, and do you kill earthworms? When cooking, boiling water is poured into the canal trough, do you kill cockroaches inside? Many times we commit unintentional killing without knowing it! We often have eyes that do not see, ears that do not smell, and heart that do not touch. After careful observation, the animal was caught and knew it was slaughtered. The pain, dejected, tears, and horror were no different from that of humans. All animals and humans love their lives, are greedy for life and fear death, and know their illness and suffering. In this case, why do people have to live long and animals have to live short, which will make you happy? This principle is unreasonable!
Crying in the street to save the rooster
Bodhisattva Huang Lao said: Releasing animals requires wisdom. If you save a life from the knife, then releasing animals is meaningful. From the standpoint of small animals, think about how you feel if you end up being killed? You have to empathize with it! Even cats and dogs know that you come to catch and kill them, they will be panicked and afraid to hide. Some small animals even pretend to be dead, which shows that they are unwilling to die! Why do you have to live long and short life? And why do you want to kill them just to satisfy your own desires and have a feast?
As he spoke, the old Bodhisattva showed compassion on his face: All beings have spirituality, which will deeply touch you. What impressed the old Bodhisattva was that once in Kuala Lumpur, he saw a young man holding a hammer and hammering a 60-kilogram giant turtle. Seeing this, he shouted in desperation: Show mercy under the knife! Then he spent more than a thousand yuan to buy the giant turtle and carried it to Titiwangsha Lake and released it.But I knew that the turtle seemed to have spirituality, and floated out of the lake and nodded three times before sneaking away.
Another time, the old Bodhisattva went to Basha in Baodun Garden and was about to buy a whole cage of frogs at the stall. However, two women came and insisted on buying frogs, saying that if you have money, I have money, why can you buy me? The three of them made a fuss, and the old Bodhisattva cried on the spot. He cried and said: Frogs, frogs, your life is so bitter. It’s not that I don’t save you, but that they don’t let me save you. If you settle the score, even if you put it on their heads! After that, put your hands together and dedicate them to the frogs. The old Bodhisattva’s compassion infected the passers-by around him and shed tears. The two women were so scared that they withdrew to fulfill the wish of the old Bodhisattva.
Later, when the old Bodhisattva returned to Basha, he found that the old man who sold frogs had also changed his career and reselled eggs and salted eggs.
The old Bodhisattva tried to release animals here several times, and there were fishing there. He was so eager to protect the life, he forced himself to lie with a kindness and brought incense and candles to the angler: Do you still dare to come here to fish? I heard that people drowned here a few days ago! They were so scared that they turned around and ran away without a trace.
Master Jingkong heard about the release of animals by the old Bodhisattva Huang. At the farewell banquet at the 1999 Dharma Propaganda Conference, he accepted the offerings from believers and pushed all the red envelopes: You can use them to release animals!
Heals by illness when he is in danger
The old Bodhisattva does not have a specified number of animals to release. Everything is subject to fate. Any animal that will be flesh on the chopping board is the target of his release. He explained the truth: there is no distinction between sentient beings, and we cannot say that these are your sentient beings. My sentient beings should not have discriminatory minds to save sentient beings. The mind is expanded and all sentient beings are free from suffering and gain happiness. This is called equality.
Spreading his hands, the old Bodhisattva looked undeniable, and he widened his eyes and said: "The Buddha's Verse of Cause and Effect" says: Why is the short life in this life slaughtered the bodies of sentient beings in the previous life; Why is the reason for this life? I bought more things in my previous life and released them. You must believe in cause and effect! I had to do it twice, but the disease was cured miraculously.
That was 3 or 4 years ago. The old Bodhisattva was diagnosed with intestinal cancer due to bloody stool. While waiting for the operation, he met a noble man who introduced him to eat lotus root. The old Bodhisattva even recited the Buddha's name devoutly for 21 consecutive days, but he was cured without medicine. The doctor asked him in surprise, what medicine did he get cured?
I took "Amitabha Medicine"! Old Bodhisattva Huang smiled and showed his pocket of Amitabha Buddha statues. The attending doctor asked him for three pictures on the spot.He straightforwardly asked the doctor to chant the Buddha's name three times when receiving the call, and the other party did the same!
At the end of last year, the old Bodhisattva accidentally bleeded his waist, and the lumbar intervertebrae slipped out, causing paralysis of the left foot, which was unsuccessful, and there was a risk of falling and hemiplegia at any time. The filial child was so anxious that he forced his father to sign and go through the procedures for admission to the hospital. The old Bodhisattva made up his mind not to take the surgery, and met a noble person by chance. He massaged him 6 times, so he was fine. This is the blessing of the Buddha's power, and your sincerity will move Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.
Why are there so many disasters, wars, and turbulent things in this world? Because human beings are so severe in killing! We all come from the three evil realms, and we are so serious in habits. How can we change it? Release animals can be changed! The confession verse says: "All evil karmas created in the past are all born from greed, anger, and ignorance in the past, and from the body, speech and mind. I repent now. By releasing animals, protecting animals and cultivating compassion. Everyone can have compassion, and all hatred can be resolved without war, and the world will be peaceful and peaceful.
The old Bodhisattva recites 9 repentances every day, seeks repentance, seeks wisdom, and seeks compassion every day.Let go of greed, anger, and ignorance, and do not create evil karma of body, speech, and mind. Let go of fish, and let go of all troubles, attachments, and obstacles, let go of them every day, and be free every day.
Indeed, letting animals suffer is a manifestation of a complete lack of compassion. Compassion for animals is not because humans are the spirit of all things, but that humans must coexist with all living things.
Everything is based on the merits of others, and everything is based on the pain and troubles of sentient beings, and you will have nothing to do and your mind will become broader. After the old Bodhisattva said that, he laughed twice, folded his hands together, and shouted Amitabha Buddha, and his sleeves were clear and clear. That back is a bit like the heroic and free demeanor of a knight who is invincible.
