Kashyapa's fate (delivered to the Dharmazang's cause and condition)
【Sutra] In the past ninety-one kalpas, after Vipa corpse Buddha entered Nirvana, four disciples set up a seven-tale pagoda. At that time, there was a Buddha statue in that pagoda, and there were few golden colors on his face.There was a poor girl who was begging on the street and got a golden bead. She saw that she was in a bad mood and wanted to be in a good mood.When Kashyapa was a gold-forging master, the woman went there and asked to make the construction.Master Jin heard of blessings and was happy to treat him, using Fu Si's face.Because we have made a vow together, I hope that both of us will always be husband and wife, and we will always be happy.Since then, the body is truly golden, and is born in the human and heaven, and is full of happiness, and finally the seventh Brahma is born.At that time, there was a Brahmin named Nikyudha in the state of Moge. In the past, he cultivated blessings, was very smart and wise, had countless wealth, seven treasures of gold and silver, cattle, sheep, land and houses, and a servant, and a carriage. It was a thousand times better than the King of Bottle Sha.King Pingsha had a thousand gold plows. The Brahmin was afraid of being with the king and was afraid of being guilty. His family only built nine hundred and ninety-nine gold plows, but only one was missing.The family has felt, and the lowest price is worth hundreds of thousands of taels of gold, sixty gold and millet, and one pot of 140 hu. Although the family is rich, there is no child.There was a tree of god beside his house. The couple often went to pray for sacrifices and beg for a son, but they had no response for many years.He said angry and angry: "I will serve you wholeheartedly for seven days. If you have no experience, you will burn the trees together."'The tree god was terrified and told the Four Heavenly Kings. The king told the Emperor Shi. Shi saw that Yanbuti had no one to bear his son, so he went to the Brahma King to spread the affairs.The Brahma King looked at it with his divine eyes and saw that Brahma was about to die. He was the past master Kashyapa, and he went to talk to him and persuade him to be reborn. Brahma received the teachings and came to entrust him to rebirth.Satisfied with October, giving birth to a man with a good face, a real golden body, bright and radiant, shining forty miles.The prime minister said, "This child is blessed and must become a monk."'When my parents heard this, they were very upset.The couple discussed: "Where should we set aside the intention?'I thought about it myself, and only beauty is attached to the world. I should marry a good woman to get married and use it to break her feelings. At the age of fifteen, I wanted to hire a wife.I said to my parents: "I am pure and I don't need a wife."'If my parents don't listen, my son knows it is inevitable, so he sets up a plan and says to his parents: 'I can get a purple and golden girl for me, and I should accept it.'The parents immediately summoned the Brahmins and hired them everywhere. The Brahmins cast a golden girl, and they were upright and unique. They walked in the village and sang loudly: 'If there is a woman who can see the golden god worship him, she will be a good son-in-law when she gets married. Her body is truly golden and elegant.'The woman heard it and found out.Only one woman has a golden body and is very good, which is the one who has used gold to give.Because of the great fate of the past, I had such a wonderful body, and my ambition was pure and I refused to come out.All the strong female generals met the Golden God together.This woman arrived immediately, and the golden light reflected the golden god. When the Brahmin saw her, she was hired.After they arrived at their husband's house, the couple met each other, and they were clean and had no desires. They made a contract together and lived in a room.My parents knew each other and destroyed a room, ordered a common room and placed a bed.Kashyapa said to his wife: "If I sleep, you should go through the scriptures. If you sleep, I should go through the scriptures."'Then the woman lay down and hung her hands in front of the bed. The poisonous snake entered the room and wanted to sting her hand. When Kashyapa saw that she wrapped her hands in clothes and held them on the bed, the woman was shocked and scolded her, "I have made a vow together, if it is not close, why do you secretly raise my hand now?'Kasyapa replied: 'A snake came in, and he was afraid that it would hurt your hand, so he lifted it up.'It means to point out to the snake, and the woman's intention is to be awake.The couple was so obsessed with the world, so they said no to their parents and wanted to become monks. When their parents saw that they had agreed, they then agreed.So the couple became monks together.When you come to the Buddha's place, the Buddha and the parting seat, and the Buddha preaches, he will obtain an Arhat on the seat.A woman also got an Arhat in the later years.When Kasyapa was alive, he often sat against the Tathagata. After the Buddha was destroyed, all Dharma treasures were given to Kasyapa.Later, the Three Gangs were formed and the three gates were completed. At Jizu Mountain, he entered Nirvana, and his whole body did not dissipate.When Maitreya Buddha was born, he came out of the mountain and made eighteen changes among the masses, saved countless people, and then destroyed his body and became a Buddha in the future, and called it Light.
【Translation] From the countdown to the present, ninety-one kalpas, the Vipa Buddha was born, which is the first Buddha of the "Seven Buddhas in the Past".After the Vipa Siren Buddha entered Nirvana, his four groups of disciples, including the monks, bhikkhuni, Upasaka, and Upasi-Ba, built a pagoda, adorned the seven treasures, and worshipped the relics of the Buddha's body.Gradually, as the years grew older, the pagoda became old. There were originally Buddha statues in the pagoda, and real gold was painted all over the body. At this time, a piece of gold on the face of the Buddha statue peeled off.There was a poor girl who was a beggar who lived a life and it was difficult for him to beg for a golden bead. When he saw that the golden bead was broken on the Buddha statue, he decided to apply it to the golden bead.At that time, there was a goldsmith who was the predecessor of Kashyapa. The poor girl sent the gold pearls to the goldsmith and asked him to apply the Buddha statue. The goldsmith saw that it was the merit of decorating the Buddha statue, so she liked it very much. Both of them made money and the other made efforts to achieve this merit together.Just before the Buddha, I made a vow: "I wish that both of us will always be husband and wife for life, make our bodies look real golden, and always enjoy the wonderful happiness."'From then on, they have been through ninety-one kalpas, and these two people have always been reborn in the heavenly way of man, and their bodies have indeed become real golden, and they are so happy that they cannot be described.Finally, the goldsmith was born in the Seventh Brahma. At that time, there was a Brahmin race in the Magashi State in Jambudvipa, named Nikhuluta. Because he had good fortune in his past life, he was smart and wise in this life and had great wealth.His seven treasures of gold, silver, cattle, sheep, land, and carriages, were thousands of times more than the king's bottle and sand.King Pingsha had a thousand gold plows, and the Brahmin did not dare to overthrow it, so he only made nine hundred and ninety-nine gold plows, which was one less than the king.There are many felt blankets in his house, and the lowest one is worth hundreds of thousands of taels of gold per piece. There are sixty stocks of gold and millet at home, and each stock is one hundred and forty hu of each stock.However, although they are extremely rich, they only have the only shortcomings of beauty, that is, they have no children. They are surrounded by a big tree and have always had gods. They are very supernatural. The couple often go to sacrifices and pray for a son.However, after many years of prayer and sacrifice, the couple became angry and made a final announcement to the tree god: "Now I will serve you for seven more days. If it still doesn't work after seven days, and we won't be pregnant or have a child, we will offend you. Let your tree be fired and burn all the essence.'The Tree God was anxious and went to ask the Four Heavenly Kings. The Four Heavenly Kings could not do it, so they went up to the Tree God to ask Indra again.When Indra saw that there were no such great blessings in the world in Jambudvipa who was in charge, he was the son of this Brahmin, and then reported to the Brahmin to explain the above matters in detail.The Brahma King looked at it with his divine eyes and saw a Brahma (a sentient being born in Brahma) at the time of death and was about to die. This man was the back of the goldsmith.The Brahma King went to explain to him and persuaded him to go to the Brahmin family. Brahma took the order and came down to entrust him to rebirth.As expected, Nikrudha's wife was pregnant within seven days and satisfied for ten months. She gave birth to a boy, Kashyapa. She has a good appearance and a body color as real gold, shining brightly, and shining forty miles away. Many sorcerers who show their appearance say that this child has good fortune and must become a monk in the future.After hearing this, the parents became worried. The son who had finally prayed for had not yet had any descendants when he became a monk.So the couple discussed how to block his way to become a monk. Thinking that the most greedy person in the world is beautiful, they decided to hire a stunning wife for the child so that he could fall in love with his wife's house and not have the idea of becoming a monk.When the child is fifteen years old, he will marry him. The child said, "My heart is pure and I don't need a wife's room."'The parents didn't listen, just because the central media found a favor. The children knew that it was inevitable, so they set up a plan and said to their parents: 'If there is a woman as golden as me, who is so upright and unconventional, I will take it as my wife.'The parents immediately invited many Brahmins and asked them to visit them everywhere.Just imagine, if many of the top people do things for the richest top people, is there anyone who doesn’t work hard?The Brahmins discussed a solution to cast a goddess with gold, and carried it to the villages like a competition, and called out loudly: "If the ladies have worshipped this golden god, they will definitely marry a good son-in-law in the future, their body and appearance are as good as real gold.'When the woman heard this, she came out to pay tribute to the gods together.There is only one woman, her body is also real golden and her appearance is also very good, that is, she is the body of a poor woman who gives gold before ninety-one disasters.Because of the great cause and condition of installing Buddha statues in the past, I have obtained a wonderful physical body for generations. Until now, I am still determined to be pure and unwilling to go out to worship God. I cannot withstand that my female companions will do their best and force them to pull them out together and come to the Golden God.The golden light of this woman is more dazzling than that of the Golden God. When many Brahmins see her, they will find a treasure and hire her to the Nikyuluda family and marry her husband's family.Both the couple are clean celibate and have no desire to fall in love. They agreed to live in one room each to avoid different rooms.The parents found out and removed the two rooms they lived in, forced the same room, and only had one bed in the room.Kashyapa then told the bride that they were determined to sleep: "The two of them took turns to sleep, you will walk when I sleep, and I will walk when I sleep."'What is scripture?It was just a stepping on Su San's body.There was a time when the woman was lying on the sequel, and accidentally hanged her hand in front of the bed. A poisonous snake entered the room, opened her mouth and stuck out her tongue, and wanted to bite the woman's hand.When Kashyapa saw this, he quickly pulled the corner of his clothes to wrap his wife's hand and put it on the bed. When he moved, the woman woke up and blamed him: "You have sworn to me that you will not get close to you, why do you secretly raise my hand again?"'Kasyapa replied: 'There is a poisonous snake coming, and I am afraid that your hand will be bitten, so I put it on it. The snake is still there now.'So he pointed it out to him, and the wife didn't blame him.They were so honest and clean, and they hated all the worldly laws, and later they asked their parents to make them a monk;Parents know that it is useless to force themselves, even if they allow it.So the husband and wife became monks together and came to Shakyamuni Buddha. The Buddha gave up half of the seat and ordered Kashyapa to sit. This is a famous story in Buddhism called "The Buddha divided half of the seat", so it means the same liberation as the three vehicles.When Kasyapa sat down, the Buddha preached the Dharma. Kasyapa immediately obtained the Arhat path on the seat, and his wife later also obtained the Arhat.When Kasyapa was alive, he often sat against the Tathagata. After the Buddha was destroyed, all the scriptures and Dharma treasures were delivered to Kasyapa.Kashyapa had completed the collection of the Three Treasures and entered Nirvana in Jizu Mountain. His physical body has not been destroyed yet. Until Maitreya Buddha was born, he would still come out of the mountain to show the eighteen changes of the gods among the masses, save countless gatherings, and then eliminate the physical body, and then become a Buddha in the future, and call it the Buddha of Light.
【Interpretation] Kasyapa was a clan surname at that time. There were several Buddhist disciples with the surname Kasyapa, and they all added names to their surnames to distinguish them.However, the only ones who call Kasyapa in the Buddhist books refer to Mahakasyapa, the first ancestor of the Dharmazang.Nowadays, Buddha statues are sculpted in the main halls of each temple. There are Shakyamuni Buddha sitting cross-legged in the middle, and two people standing beside each other. One of them is Mahakasyapa.The word "ye" is pronounced, even the surname "ye" in Middle Earth should be read, but not "leaves of leaves".
「The word "religion" is regarded as the general name of Buddhism, Taoism, and Yahui, etc., but in Buddhism, the two words have different meanings.Sect is Zen, and the teaching is the general term for all sects of Dharma nature and Dharma. It is the so-called "sect" and "inside the teaching".The teachings must study the meaning of the Tripitaka, and the sect does not follow the sutras and treatises, but directly points to the original heart, so it is called the teachings outside the teachings.Venerable Kashyapa was the first generation of ancestors in the sect.
The seventh Brahma is the seventh day of the eighteen heavens in the form realm, which is the first day of the third meditation.(The form realm below the third meditation is three days each of the first meditation of the second meditation.) The heaven in the realm of form no longer has the desire for food, men and women, and is very pure, so it is called Brahma.Brahma means purity, and the matter of its body, palace, etc. is very special, so it is called the realm of form, and color is just like matter.The three meditations of heavenly beings no longer have the five consciousnesses before the eyes, ears, nose, tongue and body, but they have the sixth consciousness.In short, the life and environment must not be compared based on our living environment. This is true in the form realm, let alone the formless realm, let alone the Arhat Bodhisattvas and Buddhas who transcend the three realms. This is truly the so-called "incredible".
The poor woman and the goldsmith renovated the Buddha statue at one time and received blessings. It was so big and long that it seemed out of an accident.It should be noted that Buddhism is the only way for all sentient beings to escape from suffering and attain happiness. The first is legitimate and the first is thorough.Therefore, all sentient beings promote, praise, rejoice in Buddhism, and even enter the pagoda and temple with a distracted mind. If a Buddha is consciously or unintentionally, they will have great merits and will all become Buddhas after all;This point is always proof of inexplicable experience in the sutras and treatises.The poor girl goldsmith is a sentient being in the desire realm. When he made a vow, he hoped that the two would always be husband and wife, and he would not be separated from desire.However, after ninety-one kalpas, he was born in Brahma, and then entered the desire realm again and was still a husband and wife, but he did not even feel desire.It can be seen that the reason why one must practice hard during the ninety-one kalpas is that he can achieve success along the way without depravity and setbacks is still the result of his respect for the Buddhist teachings when installing Buddha statues.
