He looked at the past, the coming of generations, the blood and massacre just stopped here and there. He experienced too many vicissitudes of human affairs, where can he remember it?Everything is covered in silent gaze.
When Fotucheng first came to Luoyang from the Western Regions, it was the fourth year of Yongjia in the Jin Dynasty (310 AD), and he was already in his eighties at that time.But for him, everything has just begun.He originally wanted to build a temple and preach the Dharma, but when Liu Wei, who was in front of the former Zhao, occupied Luoyang, was in trouble inside and outside the capital, so he had to give up and hide in the mountains and wild grass and see the development of the situation.At that time, Shi Lezheng stationed his troops in Gebi ( Henan Xincai North )。This kind of person has not been eliminated. He can only be comforted by the sword light and shadows, and the bright blood flow. Therefore, every time he sends troops, he must use killing as a play, and even dreams are killing, killing, and killing. Many monks cannot escape the misfortune.Faced with the rotten corpse and bones that could be seen everywhere and were left over by wild crows and dogs, Fotucheng could no longer wait. His inner compassion made him decide: It was time to act.He wants to use Buddhism to influence fossils.So he came to the nearby Shi Family Camp and watched.He found out clearly that Shi Le's general Guo Heiluo had always believed in Buddhism, so he defected to the Guo family.He couldn't go to Shi Le rashly, he had to act carefully among the bloodthirsty people.
Since then, Hei Lue followed Shi Le to fight and was able to decide the outcome.At first, Shi Le thought it was a coincidence, but later he finally made a doubt and couldn't help asking: My dear, I have never realized that you have any outstanding wisdom, but now you can predict good or bad luck. What's going on?Heili saw that the time had come, so he said to him as Fotucheng taught: The general is born with a superb magical and powerful force, and even ghosts and gods will come to help you.There is a monk who is extremely good at Taoism and wisdom. He said that the general would occupy the Central Plains and he should be a military advisor himself.The military affairs mentioned before and after me were all taught by him.Of course, he did not dare to say that he had worshipped the monk as his teacher and received the precepts from him.After hearing this, Shi Le was overjoyed: There was such a good thing? What a gift from God!Call him!He was impatient.Soon, Fotucheng came.From the first step toward the Shile Army's tent, he knew how long and thrilling the years would be.This is his voluntary choice. To promote the Tao, one must use the power of the king to help all living beings. Isn’t that the same?The characters in the tent were all like evil gods, and the main god Shi Le showed even more fierce eyes.Seeing that he was calm and comfortable, although he was obviously old, he did not look like a dragon or a bell. (Dragon, phoenix, turtle )It will appear;If the regime is cruel and ill, the ominous comet will come out.Once these things come, the world's fortune will change accordingly, and it has been around since ancient times.When Shi Le heard this, he nodded and said yes. Although he would not be happy if he didn't kill, he wanted to follow Emperor Gaozu of Han. He wanted to imitate the great Han Dynasty, so he could still listen to Fotucheng's words.In this way, Fo Tucheng sought to protect countless creatures. In the Central Plains, many Hu and Han people believed in Buddhism.Fotucheng also often treats stubborn diseases and gives alms and hunger.The Dharma finally began to reveal a glimmer of light.
Shi Le returns to Hebei from Gebi ( North of the Yellow River )，Passing by Fangtou ( Po County, Henan )。As soon as the camp was set up, Guo Heiluo went to Shi Le's residence and said: Fotucheng asked me to tell the general that someone was going to rob the camp tonight.Shi Le said that he knew, so he sent someone to arrange the matter and muttered to himself, is this old monk really good at predicting things?He nodded secretly when a group of robbers of the camp were caught in the evening.However, anyone who is a king is suspicious by nature, and he also wants to try Fotucheng.One night, he wore armor and wore a tent, sat with a knife, and sent someone to tell Fotucheng that the general was missing.I thought I would be fine if you had magical experience. If you bump into this place with dizziness, I will see that I will not cut you off in one way or another.As soon as the messenger arrived and had not yet had time to speak, Fotucheng shouted: There are no thieves, why are the general doing so tightly in his tent?When Shi Le heard the envoy's words, he was shocked and sweated: The monk is indeed a monk.Therefore, I respect him more.However, after a long time, suspicion emerged from another direction.
Shi Le always wonders: Is it a big benefit or a big harm to raise such a person who is like a god around him?Although he can help me give advice and build a foundation, how can I control such a person? He saw me clearly, and I saw him blurry. What if he dealt with me?No, you have to start first.Fotucheng had already quietly hid at Guo Heiluo's house and said to his disciple: If Mr. Shi asked me where I went, he would say I didn't know.As a result, the messenger searched everywhere, but could not find it anyway.Shi Le was shocked again: I had malicious intentions towards the saint, how could he not know? Xiangguo (Xingtai, Hebei )The water source of the city moat was suddenly exhausted under the Wuli Tuanwan Temple in the west of the city.It is related to the defense of a city, and it is very important, so Shi Le went to Fotucheng to ask for advice.After hearing him, Fotucheng immediately replied: Now he should order Long.Shi Le's name is Shilong. He thought he was mocking him and felt unhappy: It was because the dragon could not get water that he came to ask you.He knew that Shi Le had misunderstood and quickly said: This is the truth, not a joke.The source should be inhabited by the dragon, and to command it without worrying about no water.So he and his disciples Fashou and others came to the source.When everyone saw the drought cracks as wide as ruts, they were puzzled: Where is there any water?Fotucheng sat on the rope bed, lit the benzoin, and kept chanting mantras.On the first day and the next day, the drought was as good as before, and the disciples who were struggling wanted to persuade the master to give up, but when they saw his expression, it was solemn and ethereal, as if they had reached another world, no one dared to step forward.On the third day, the water finally poured out from the crack, and a little dragon also came out with the water, about five or six inches long.Everyone rushed forward to see it, and Fotucheng shouted: The dragon is poisonous, leave, you will die if you get close to it!Everyone dispersed immediately, and the water suddenly grew bigger and continued to flow towards the moat.
Fotucheng sat down and sighed: Two days later, there will be a villain making trouble here.Then things happened: Xue He, a native of Xiangguo, had two sons, who were very young, but he was arrogant and domineering. He often teased the Xianbei slaves in a slight manner. The slave angrily drew his sword, stabbed the younger one to death, grabbed the older one, pressed his heart with the knife, and shouted outside the door: No one should come in!I will kill this little boy when I come in!The surname Xue, I will send me back to China and let your son go, otherwise I will die here!There was shock inside and outside, and many people came to watch.Shi Le quietly asked Fotucheng what to do, and Fotucheng secretly told him.Shi Le said to Xue He: It is indeed a good thing to send him away to protect your son.But once this practice emerges, there will be endless troubles.My dear, please bear with me for the time being, and the country has its own laws.After saying that, he ordered people to catch the slave. The slave killed the child and committed suicide by raising the knife.Duan Bo, the leader of the Xianbei people, had long wanted to attack Shi Le, but now he had an excuse and launched an army to invade.Shi Le regretted being reckless and was scared, so he had to ask Fotucheng for advice again.Fotucheng smiled slightly and said: Don’t worry.Yesterday I listened to the ringtone on the tower, which showed that Duan Bo was captured during early meals.Shi Le was uneasy after all. He climbed up to the city and watched. Seeing Duan Bo's army being too dark, he couldn't help but be shocked: So many people were trembling when they moved. How could he catch Duan Bo? Cheng Gong was just comforting me.He sent someone to ask Fotucheng again.The person who came back said: Duan Bo has caught it.It turned out that the ambush in the north of the city attacked and encountered Duan Bo and captured him.Shi Le guessed in his heart, who set up such a wonderful ambush?Could it be that Fotucheng advised Shi Le to forgive Duan Bo and Shi Le obeyed?Later, I got Duan Bo's help.
After a few years, Liu Zai of Later Zhao died, and Liu Zai's cousin Liu Yao ascended the throne and was called Yuan Guangchu.The eighth year of Guangchu (325 AD )，Liu Yao sent his cousin, Wu Liu Yue, Liu Yue, to attack Shi Le, and Shi Le sent his general Shi Hu to resist with his infantry and cavalry. The two sides fought west of Luoyang.Liu Yue was soon defeated and wanted to protect Shiliangwu. Shihu also set up a wooden fence to defend.Fotucheng and his disciples walked from Guan Temple to Zhong Temple. As soon as they ran away from the temple gate, they sighed: Oh, Liu Yue is so pitiful!The disciples were puzzled and asked what was going on. He said: Liu Yue was in Haiti yesterday. (9-11 pm )Been caught.In the eleventh year of Guangchu, Liu Yao led his troops to attack Luoyang. Shi Le wanted to lead his troops to fight him personally. After a long time, there was no blood on the knife, which happened to be an opportunity.But all officials dissuaded.Why?It was nothing more than the danger Shi Le was furious and broke out and went out to find Fotucheng.When Fotucheng saw him coming, he said: I already know the situation.In my opinion, it is better to send troops.The ringtone of the Epiphany on the tower says: Overdraw the substitute for Ligang, Pugu is Tudang.This is the Jie language, you know it.Overdrawn means military;For Ligang, the meaning of coming out;Pugu, Liu Yao’s location;It means baldness.Isn’t this saying that the army was captured?At that time, official Xu Guang also advised him to travel.So Shi Le left his eldest son Shi Hong and Fotucheng to guard Xiangguo together, and led the central cavalry and infantry to Luoyang.Liu Yao was defeated in just two battles. His horse ran wildly and rushed into the water. Shi Kan captured him and gave him to Shi Le.Fotucheng of Xiangguo knew all this well and had a skill to apply sesame oil mixed with rouge to the palm of his hand, as if it were thousands of miles away.He saw a large group of people in his palm, tied a red silk rope around his neck and went to see Shi Le, and told Shi Hong that the bandit leader had caught it.
After destroying Liu Yao, Shi Le became the king of Zhao and performed the emperor's duties, Jianyuan and Jianping.This year was the fifth year of Xianhe in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (330 AD )。
After Shi Le ascended the throne, he became more pious in Fotucheng.At that time, Shi Cong was about to rebel, and Fotucheng warned Shi Le with a hidden word: There are insects in the onion this year, and eating them will harm people. You can tell the people not to eat onion.Shi Le didn't know what he said, and told the country not to eat onions, and Fo Tucheng could only shake his head secretly.What else can he say?It was not until August that Shi Cong rebelled that Shi Le suddenly realized that he respected Fotucheng more and more. He had to seek his opinions in everything before he made a decision and respectfully called him a great monk.General Shi Hu has a son Shi Bin, who is very fond of Shi Le, and suddenly dies of illness.Two days passed without realizing it, and Shi Le suddenly said: I heard that after Prince Guo died, Bian Que brought him back to life.Aren’t the great monk the saint in China?Go and invite him, there must be a way.Fotucheng then took the willow branches and recited the mantra, and everyone was nervously holding their breath.After a long time, Shi Bin moaned, sat up from the bed, and looked at everyone in surprise, as if he had just woken up from a dream.Since then, Shi Le sent his young children to the Buddhist temple to support him. Every April 8th day of the Buddha's birthday, Shi Le personally went to the temple to bathe in the Buddha with incense soup and make a wish for his son.
In April of the fourth year of Jianping, the weather was clear and windless, and a bell stood on the tower and ringed alone.Fotucheng told everyone: There will be a major mourning in China, and this year will not be released.By July, Shi was indeed strangled to death and his eldest son Shi Hong succeeded to the throne.Not long after, Shi Hu abolished Shi Hong and established himself as king, moved the capital to Yecheng, and called Yuan Jianwu.Shi Hu was devoted to studying Fotucheng, which was even better than Shi Le.He issued an edict saying: The great monk is the treasure of the country.He never received high officials and generous salaries, but if he didn't care about these at all, how could he be commensurate with his virtue?From then on, he should be allowed to wear silk and satin and ride in a carving chariot.During the court meeting, the monks went to the hall, and the attendants and the subordinates had to help carry the seats, and the prince and the dukes had to support them on both sides.The person in charge should sing the great monk, and everyone should stand up to show their dignity.He also ordered Sikong Li Nong: I would like to greet him in person sooner or later.The princes and the dukes must pay their respects once every five days.
Fotucheng lived in Yecheng Zhong Temple at that time.He sent his disciple Fachang to Xiangguo north, and another disciple Fazuo returned to the capital from Xiangguo, and the two met at Liangji City.When I talk to the bed at night, my brothers talk, and the topic is naturally inseparable from the master.Fa Zuo has always been dissatisfied with the master's way of using magic, so he opened his mouth: Did the master secretly send someone to do something when he spelled the dragon out of water?Is the master’s intestines true or false?It's okay if he leaks out?I always silently but don’t answer.Fa Zuo went to Beijing to meet Buddha Tucheng.When the master saw him come in, he smiled and said: Did you talk about me with Fachang last night?Didn’t the ancestors say anything?Respect him, never change his stay in secluded place, be cautious, and never slacken in being alone.Don’t you know the root of being alone in seclusion?Fazou was both shocked and ashamed and immediately repented of his mistakes.When the news spread, the Chinese people said: Don’t be disgusted, the monk knows everything.No one dares to shed tears, spit or urinate in the direction of Buddha Tucheng.
At that time, Prince Shi Sui had two sons in Xiangguo. Fotucheng said to him: The little donor must be sick, go and pick him up.Shi Sui sent someone there, but he was indeed seriously ill.The imperial physician Yin Teng and several other foreign monks said that they could be cured, but Fo Tucheng was silent at that time.He went back to the temple and said to his disciple Faya: Even if a saint returns, this disease cannot be cured, let alone such people?After three days, he was indeed dead.Shi Sui planned to rebel and conspired with the young minister in the palace: The great monk has supernatural powers, and if he reports our strategy, it will be troublesome.He should be removed first.On the fifteenth day, Fotucheng was about to pay homage to Shihu.In advance, he said to his disciple Seng Hui: Last night, the gods called me: Don’t go to see others before entering the court tomorrow.If I have to do that, you should stop me.When he entered the court normally, he would first visit Shi Sui.This time, Shi Sui invited each other hard, so Fotucheng had to go.He was going to Nantai, and Monk Hui held his clothes for him, and Fotucheng said: You can't stay.Before he could sit down, Seng Hui helped him stand up and say goodbye. Shi Sui couldn't keep it, and the plan failed.When he returned to the temple, Buddha Tucheng sighed: Alas!When the prince causes chaos, the situation will be accomplished. It is hard to say it and it is hard to endure it.Then he used things to guide Shi Hu repeatedly.The pre-Qin lobbyists could only use fables to tell the emperors the great truth because they were afraid that they would not understand it. Fotucheng could not say it directly because his situation was subtle and although he was highly respected, he might cause death if he was not careful.But how can a person like Shi Hu hear the secret?He didn't understand until the disaster broke out.
Later, the veteran Guo Hei led his troops to fight against the Qiang people and was ambushed.At that time, Fotucheng was meditating in the hall.The disciple Fachang was sitting with him, and suddenly he saw his master's face miserable, and Mr. Guo was suffering from misfortune.He said.He immediately asked the monks to curse the wish, and he himself personally.After a while, he said to himself: If he escapes southeast, he can survive, go somewhere else, and die.Continue to curse the wish again.After a long time, I breathed a sigh of relief and said: I got out of danger.More than a month later, Hei came back slightly disheveledly and told his experience: he was trapped in a siege and knew that he had little hope of survival, so he whipped his mount and rushed around. Suddenly, the horse ran desperately towards the southeast. He didn't go far, and was injured by an arrow and could no longer run.In a hurry, he gave the next person the horse and said, "You will take this horse and give me the injured horse. Whether it is OK or not, you have appointed it."It can only be achieved through it.From the perspective of people's calculation of the date, it was the day Fotucheng mantrasted him.Heili heard this and burst into tears and hurriedly fell to the ground.Grand Sima Yan Gong Shi Bin was appointed as the governor of Youzhou by Shi Hu.The sky is high and the emperor is far away, and Shi Bin gathers evil spirits there and rages. For a moment, the city of Youzhou is in chaos and uneasy.Fotucheng warned Shi Hu: The god said last night that he should take back the horse as soon as possible, otherwise his navel would become ulcerated by autumn.Shi Hu didn't want to seem too ignorant and couldn't ask in depth, but he really couldn't figure out what it meant, so he had to order the horses to be sent back everywhere.In autumn, someone reported Shi Bin, and Shi Hu recalled him. He whipped three hundred whips in anger and killed his biological mother Qi.The anger could not be stopped. He felt that his authority was under threat and he wanted to use more blood to prove that he was not offended.He bent his bow and arrow and shot and killed hundreds of Shi Bin's men.Fotucheng hurriedly dissuaded the bloodthirsty maniac with red eyes: Your Majesty should not be indulged in his heart, and the dead should not be resurrected.Where can we do this when the etiquette and law stipulate that the emperor does not personally use punishment to show the emperor's grace?Shi Hu also regretted that he had done too much, so he took advantage of the situation to stop.
The ninth year of Jianwu (343 AD )，Shi Hu was in Daxing's military and attacking Former Yan and Former Liang, and both were defeated and injured by the army.At this moment, Jin in the south sent Huan Wen to send troops to Huai Si, which was shocked inside and outside, and people were panicked.Shi Hu felt that he had suffered unprecedented humiliation. He was like a trapped beast in a cage, attacking in despair.Suddenly, he seemed to have found a venting object and said angrily: Humph!I believe in Buddhism and offer sacrifices to monks, but what is the result?Kou still comes, but I still can't win!Buddhism seems to be ineffective.The next day, as soon as Fotucheng entered the hall, he smelled a strange smell. He knew what the problem was.Shi Hu was naturally polite to him, but anyone could see that it was just a kind of politeness.He asked him when he asked if Buddhism was not effective.Fo Tucheng was prepared in his heart and immediately replied calmly: Your Majesty heard me slowly say: Your Majesty was a great merchant in his previous life and had sponsored the Buddhist conference at the Qibin Temple. Among them, there were 60 Arhats, and I was also included.At that time, a Taoist told me: After this merchant died, he would become a chicken and then become a king in Jin.Isn’t Your Majesty the King now?Can this be said to be not effective in Buddhism?Your Majesty, wars and foreign invaders are common things that the country encounters. How can you easily complain about the Three Jewels and have evil thoughts in the middle of the night?Shi Hu became more confused as he listened: His previous life?merchant?chicken?All this was too far away for him.However, one thing is unquestionable: he is the king.Hearing it at the end, he finally understood and hurriedly knelt down and apologized.
Although Shi Hu believed that Buddhism was effective, as an emperor, he could not let strange things last forever in his mind.What does Buddhism say?He often asks.Buddhism says that no killing is not done.Fotucheng said.As the lord of the world, I am not enough to eliminate the country without punishment.Since I have violated the precepts and killed animals, even though I am still observing Buddhism, how can I get blessings?Shi Hu was very serious.When an emperor follows the Dharma, it mainly depends on his heart.Be respectful outside and respectful inside, not cruelty, not harm innocent people, and help promote it, and you have done your best.As for the fierce, stubborn rogues, non-education can be changed, and these people must be punished without being punished.But you must not act willfully. If you are cruel and impose punishments, even if you do your best to serve the Buddha, you will not be able to avoid disasters in this world and evil retribution in the next life.May Your Majesty control desires, raise compassion, and spread all sentient beings, so that Buddhism can prosper forever, national fortune will prosper, and blessings will last forever.Shi Hu said yes.Although he couldn't do it completely, he was restrained after all.Shangshu Zhang Li and Zhang Liang had a wealthy family background, believed in Buddhism, and each built a large pagoda.Fotucheng's words disappointed them: the key to believing in Buddhism is to be clear about the mind and less desires, and to be compassionate.Although the donor believes in Buddhism on the surface, his greed and competition have not stopped, and he plays and gathers uncontrollably. The sins in this world are about to come, so how can he cultivate the blessings in the next life?Sure enough, these two people were quickly removed by Shi Hu.
Fotucheng's magical story is becoming more and more popular.It is said that Shi Hu was having a hot conversation with him, but suddenly he frowned: It is abnormal, abnormal, Youzhou is in a fire.Then he took a glass of wine and sprinkled it out.Continue to chat and laugh again.It took a long time to say: Okay, the fire has been extinguished.Shi Hu sent someone to check it out. People from Youzhou said: The fire broke out from the four gates that day. Everyone was panicking when suddenly a black cloud floated in the southwest. A sudden rain came and the fire came. Strangely, the rain was very smelly.Once again, he sent his disciples to the Western Regions to buy incense.After a few days, he suddenly said to other disciples: I saw that he was suffering and was about to die.Then he burned incense and cursed the wish to rescue him from afar.The disciple came back and said: I was robbed by a thief that day and was about to be killed when I suddenly smelled the fragrance.The thief was in chaos for no reason and said that the rescue was here so that he could be saved.Shi Hu wants to rebuild the old tower of Linzhang, but lacks the Chenglu Pan. Fotucheng said: Linzhe (In Shandong )There is an ancient Ashoka Tower in the city, and we all need underground. I can draw a picture and ask someone to dig it back.Sure enough, he dug it back.Some people also said that Shi Hu always wanted to attack Yan State, and Fotucheng advised him: Yan State has not had enough fortune, so it should not be moved.Shi Hu didn't believe it, and later he was defeated repeatedly, so he had to give up.The most common thing is this: the world suddenly had a severe drought, from the first lunar month to June, water did not drop, and Shihu sent the prince to the west of Linzhang to ask for rain without any effect.Shi Hu had no choice but to ask Fotucheng to go, and he was over 100 years old, so he would no longer bother with him in general.As soon as he left, two white dragons fell in the temple, and it rained heavily that day.With a thousand miles of radius, the crops were harvested.The Rong people did not know Buddhism at first, but when they heard these divine experiences, they worshiped him from afar, and naturalized without any words.
Fotucheng's efforts were not in vain.Over the past few decades, Buddhism has taken root in the hearts of the public. From princes to scholars and common people, everyone knows to worship and praise.Wherever he went, nearly nine hundred temples were built one after another.There were hundreds of people who received karma from him, and a total of about 10,000 were among them, including the Buddhist monk Buddha Dian and Subhuti who came from tens of thousands of miles away, as well as Shi Daoan, who later became a master.However, everything will turn back when it is extreme.As soon as Buddhism became a manifest religion, people flocked to it, and it was inevitable that there would be a mixture of fish and dragons, and many details would be born.The matter was so troubled that Shi Hu couldn't stand it anymore. He issued an edict to the Secretariat: Buddhism is respected by the world and worshipped by the country.Can children in the streets and alleys and those who do not have titles and salaries serve as Buddha?Furthermore, monks should be noble and honest people, diligent in Buddhism and practice it in person, and then they can become Taoists.There are so many monks nowadays, and many evil and illegal people are not suitable for being monks.You can discuss these matters for your choice.Many people take the opportunity to reject Buddhism.The Book of the Book of the Book of the Book of the Central Committee:
